Audio signal se kontroliše pomoću motorizovanog potenciometra, dok se Volume može kontrolisati putem bilo kog daljinskog na infracrveno značenje (tako što se Phonitor 2 prilagođava signalu daljinskog, 'učeći' da ga 'pročita'). Tradicionalna reprodukcija slušalica proizvodi jednu stereo dužinu po horizontali zvučne slike (180°), odnosno po sredini glave, i to je upravo ono što čini okruženje za miksovanje sa slušalicama problematičnim. Razlog tome je suštinski neprirodna potpuna separacija kanala, koja ne postoji ni u prirodnom sluhu niti u stereo reprodukciji zvučnika. Generalno, dok zvučnici pružaju prevashodno frontalni osećaj sound stage-a, slušanje/monitoring kroz slušalice daje razloženi stejdž (na levo i desno). Phonitor 2 pruža obe opcije, to jest specifične obojenosti slušanja, kombinovane u jednom uređaju. Što se tiče samog monitoringa za slušalice, 'phonitoring-a', Phonitor 2 takođe nudi različite metode. Analitički monitoring za slušalice koji daje impresiju akustičkog 'uvećanja zvuka' ali bez eksternih sobnih upliva. Dok simulacija zvučnika pruža 'mikroskopski' efekat monitoringa, uz uključenu ambijentalnost sobnog prostora. Rad sa Magnifier efektom za slušalice daje filigransku preciznost, odnosno mogućnost da se bezbedno i lako čuju klikovi i slični sićušni defekti, kao i crossfade fine tuning, ili poboljšane uslove za analizu tonalne problematike pojedinačnih numera. Na zvučnicima je znatno teže uočiti ovakve stvari usled nemogućnosti 'auralnog zuma' pri radu. The 4-channel AD-converter, supporting 786 kHz sample rate and DSD recording, is used in a dual mono design, with 3 dB improved signal to noise ratio. Two premium DACs are used for two separate stereo outputs. Internal audio processing like EQs, Crossfeed and spectral analysis, is done by a high performance DSP with 2.17 Giga FLOPS (2882 MIPS), delivering enough computing power to work even at 768 kHz sample rate. For easy operation a high quality Sample Rate Converter has been added, switchable to the AES or SPDIF input, solving any clocking problem between those. And RME’s latest SteadyClock FS technology ensures perfect jitter reduction and stable clocking, no matter if internal or external clocks are used. High Resolution Display Operation RME have incorporated many unique features, not found on any comparable devices, like 5-band parametric EQs for fully individual phones compensation, adjustable Bass/Treble controls with quick access, a binaural crossfeed function, adjustable loudness filter, selectable AD/DA filters, four discrete I/O reference levels, auto reference level setting, auto balanced phones mode, and many more. The display is not only used to control the unit, but also shows warning and guidance messages. Professional features such as M/S Processing, stereo width and phase reversal up to full control and storage of all settings are included, as well as RME’s famous Spectral Analyzer, a 30-band biquad filtered analysis tool offering unprecedented musical visualization, perfectly complementing the high-resolution IPS display. Extreme Power Headphone Outputs There is no use in boasting about -110 dB THD, when such values are not available in real world operation - for example when a 32 ohm headphone is connected. RME's engineers therefore designed a new headphone output stage that brings the full performance of the premium DAC to the phone jack - even when using low impedance headphones. The Extreme Power design excels with 0.1 Ohm output impedance, a maximum output level of +22 dBu, and a maximum output power of 1.5 Watts - per channel! The two, fully separated stereo headphone outputs deliver the same 120 dBA SNR performance as the line outputs, for a full hum and noise free listening experience. THD is far below -100 dB (0.001%) even at full power, for the most clear and detailed soundstage possible. The Extreme Power design also incorporates current limiting, power surveillance, overload detection and DC protection. A low power mode and a high power mode are provided, for a perfect match from IEM up to planar. Having two stereo outputs, balanced headphone operation is possible. As RME's engineers were not satisfied with the existing techniques they developed a new Advanced Balanced mode for the ADI-2 Pro, that removes most limitations of standard balanced operation, and turns this mode into a a fully new experience. The exclusive Advanced Balanced mode delivers a balanced signal path from the DAC straight to the phone, with 3 dB gain in Signal to Noise Ratio, smoothed out deviations in components, optimized frequency response, super low output impedance (0.2 Ohms), and a maximum output level of +28 (twenty eight) dBu. The Multichannel Flagship Interface The Fireface UFX III is the center of any multitrack studio, handling up to 94 channels I/O with ease. Its unprecedented flexibility, compatibility, the inclusion of DURec (Direct USB Recording) and RME’s famous low latency hardware and driver designs guarantee flawless operation in any mode and application. Packed with professional features, including SteadyClock FS, MADI I/O (64 channels), a powerful DSP, USB 3.0 (full 94 channel I/O Class Compliant ready), TotalMix FX, Direct USB Recording, and support for the Advanced Remote Control USB (available separately), the Fireface UFX III is the professional’s preferred tool for multitrack recording, mixing and mastering. Powerful USB 3 Performance The front panel of the Fireface UFX III provides four high-performance XLR/TRS combo inputs for microphone, instrument and line signals, two stereo headphone jacks with +19 dBu output level, MIDI I/O, and a USB port. In combination with the DURec function (Direct USB Recording), the USB port allows independent recording of selected input and output signals (up to 80 channels) to a connected USB storage medium. The rear panel reveals the full connectivity of the Fireface UFX III. Besides another MIDI I/O, the two optical ADAT I/Os, an AES/EBU I/O, and eight balanced analog outputs with line level (including XLR stereo monitor outputs) are available. Expanding your analog channel count, the ability to route/mix within the digital domain through numerous sources presents many flexible options. Multiple external MADI devices can also be connected in series. To further enhance MADI flexibility, the Fireface UFX III boasts some typical RME-style features. For example in USB 2 mode, which is limited to 30 channels I/O (12 analog plus 16 ADAT plus AES), the MADI I/O is still available via RME’s integrated hardware mixer TotalMix FX. Word Clock I/O (BNC) can be switched to MADI I/O (coaxial), and a special split mode even supports the use of both MADI I/Os simultaneously, with 32 channel each on optical and coaxial. Powerful Applications for Mixing, Monitoring and Measurement included The Fireface UFX III comes with the TotalMix FX DSP mixer offering comprehensive routing and monitoring options, as well as the DIGICheck Analyzer allowing to measure and analyze the digital data feed in both directions with maximum precision. TotalMix FX can completely replace an external mixer, enabling the creation of multiple latency-free monitor mixes with EQ, Dynamics, Reverb and Delay for any outputs, incl. main monitors and headphone mixes for musicians. The additional TotalMix Remote is a remote control for TotalMix FX, to control the hardware mixer and effects in RME audio interfaces. TotalMix Remote mirrors the current state of the host system on the iPad and Windows/Mac computers - the entire mixing state, the complete routing, all FX settings, up to the level meters, and everything in real-time. Easily adjust all the mixer and FX settings from a distance, via Ethernet and WiFi. DC-Coupled Outputs - CV/Gate Voltage Control Most audio interfaces are traditionally designed with what is called 'AC-coupled outputs', where capacitors are used to filter out any extreme low frequencies. Whilst these frequencies are generally considered undesirable for audio - eating into headroom and potentially causing damage to other equipment - one instance where DC-coupling remains desirable is the world of modular synthesizers, where static or slow-moving signals are used for control over various parameters such as pitch note values or LFOs. All of the Fireface UFX III’s line-level outputs are fully DC-coupled, allowing for the sending of control voltages (CV) or Gate information to modular synthesizers (such as the popular Eurorack and Moog/MOTM/Synthesizers formats) and other studio hardware. USB 3 Class Compliant Audio The Fireface UFX III operates in two different modes: driver-based USB 3 and Class Compliant. The Class Compliant mode is a standard that is natively supported by operating systems like Windows, Mac OSX and Linux distributions. No proprietary drivers are required, the device will be directly recognized when the CC firmware is loaded. The Fireface UFX III is RME's first audio interface with full USB 3.0 support in Class Compliant Mode. This makes all channels available in driverless operation for Linux, Mac and iPadOS. An iPad Pro with USB C can manage up to 94 channels for recording and playback in TotalMix FX for iPad and on system level. ARC USB Remote Control - Plug’n Play Plus The optional available ARC USB connects to your computer via USB, and talks to TotalMix FX directly. It has 15 freely assignable and illuminated buttons, one encoder wheel, and a TS jack to connect a foot switch. The ARC USB is a USB 1.1 MIDI remote control for the Fireface UFX III. Thanks to operating as a UAC 1 class device, it is natively compatible to Windows and Mac OS X. MODEL 1 has a unique offering of six fully featured input channels plus two stereo returns in a small format frame. It has many features not currently available on any comparable device, such as Input pre-amplifier drive control, hybrid filter/swept bell EQ, dual cue system, dual mixer linking system, and a fully balanced Tascam DB25 connector system. MODEL 1 is a purely analogue mixer featuring technology normally found in the finest studio consoles, such as a fully balanced mix buss, zero crossing detection for seamless filter & master EQ routing along high voltage differential power rails. MODEL 1 Features 2 stereo sends The two AUX controls send the channel signal to the Aux mix outputs for use with external effects processors or, in some applications, local monitors. AUX 1 offers either PRE or POST FADE while AUX 2 is internally set to post fader. 2 stereo returns Two basic stereo channels for use as return inputs from external effects processors or other sources. Each return features TRIM to adjust the return signal, input DRIVE circuit, and CUE routing to both Cue A and Cue B. Each Return also feature Metering for visual feedback of the signal level, a rotary LEVEL fader to adjust Mix amount and combined Return 1-2 Low Cut EQ and Master Filter routing. 3 high performance phono preamps 3 high performance turntable inputs, optimized for the club environment in order to minimise the tonal imbalance between vinyl and Digital audio, and to eliminate sub frequency feedback. Each phono input has it's own Individual Turntable Earth Binding for greater flexibility. Studio grade faders Custom TKD 60mm faders. These twin rails faders have been carefully chosen to ensure long life and smooth operation and feature a heavy feel for greater precision. Precision Sculpting EQ SCULPT is a semi-parametric swept bell filter, and consist of two controls,FREQ which sets the centre frequency and CUT/BOOST which adjust the gain or a attenuation at this frequency. The level of cut/boost is asymmetric; maximum boost is limited to +8dB, while the cut is extended to -20dB. Sculpt has a wide Q and a frequency range that covers almost seven octaves. Contouring low & high pass filters As the name implies these two controls allow you to “contour” the frequency range of the audio signal. They consist of low Q, High-Pass and Low-Pass filters designed not to add colour to the sound as they are swept across their frequency range. Analog overdrive A unique feature on every input, the DRIVE control. This control allows the user to adjust the level at which the channel pre-amplifier clips the input signal, thus creating harmonic distortion as a creative effect. DualCue Two independent Cue systems, A and B. Cue A routes to the right hand side headphone monitor and the Cue B routes to the left hand headphone monitor. The DualCue system makes it much easier for two DJs to perform on the mixer together in "Back2Back" setups, as each can select a separate channel to monitor without interfering with the other. This feature also assists DJ's handing off to each other in a smooth and natural way. Mixer Link A system that allows multiple mixers to be linked together, either for use with two or more performers, or as a way to expand the number of channels. When Linked together the mixers share a common balanced mix feeding the PA and Booth monitors. In addition, the two Cue systems are joined allowing interactive cueing between multiple performers. Balanced Mix Bus Fully balanced main mix bus (usually only found in very high end analogue studio consoles) – resulting in >110dB of dynamic range, improved hum rejection, lower noise and crosstalk. Master high & low pass resonant filters The Master Filter consists of a High-Pass Filter (HPF), a Low-Pass Filter (LPF), and a resonance control (RES) to adjust the sharpness of the High-Pass filter. The Master Filter can be used as a swept frequency performance effect, or as pre-set frequency mix tool to instantly cut the Low or High frequencies of any channel routed to the Filter. Signals can be routed to the MF by the Filter select switch found on each channel. Three-band master EQ Three-Band Master EQ with asymmetric cut and boost, -20/+6dB which can be used as a performance affect, as well as a frequency correction tool. Two-band Booth EQ A 2-Band equaliser allowing the user to adjust the frequency response of the Booth monitors to suit their own preference. 100% analog Smooth intuitive controls matched with warm pure analogue circuitry. ZERO Crossing Circuitry All internal routing utilizes our zero-crossing detection system that helps minimize audio switching artifacts for channel filter selection, master filter on/off and master eq on/off. This system allows each of these functions to be used quickly and intuitively as performance effects. Quality Components Beautifully smooth components each controlling one specific function for intuitive on-the-fly creative performances. External Power supply Powered by an external 90W 24V universal voltage PSU. Internally, the 24 volts from the external supply, is converted to just under +/- 20V for the analogue power rails by using high frequency switching technology, giving MODEL 1 some of the highest signal headroom of any professional mixer, irrespective of its application. Dual PSU MODEL 1 offers the utility of powering with dual supplies. This feature - found on premium live sound and recording consoles - can offer greater security by powering the mixer simultaneously with a second supply. In scenarios such as music festivals, each supply can be powered from separate mains phases. In the event of one phase going down the other supply will automatically take over powering the mixer.
