How do you reproduce the warm, authentic sound of an organ in a stage keyboard? You build an organ engine the Yamaha way, from the ground up. Yamaha puts your favorite classic organ sounds in one powerful, stage keyboard. YC models three organ vintages - just out of the box, well-traveled and character-rich vintage. Need more? Go under the hood to adjust key click, leakage, rotary speaker speed and more to get the one-of-a-kind organ tone you've been searching for. YC brings you the authentic sounds of classic rotary speakers with no maintenance required. Choose from two faithfully modeled rotary speaker profiles - warm and full or dirty and aggressive - and adjust top or bottom rotor speed for total control. [New to OS v1.2] Based on your feedback, we’ve added a new “Studio” Rotary Speaker, featuring a wider stereo field, increased low rotor and high horn separation, as well as an increased presence to cut through mixes. VCM re-creates the sound and behavior of vintage effects and high-end studio signal processors by modeling the circuits down to the original analog component level. In 1983, Yamaha introduced the iconic sounds of FM (Frequency Modulation) synthesis to the world with the launch of the synthesizer DX7. Now YC brings FM synthesis to the organ for a new generation of players. Simply switch to FM Organ and your drawbars control 8 FM Operators that send a pure sound with massive low end. Add rotary speaker or amp sim effects for character and vibe. Intuitive controls make it easy to discover new sounds. Or recreate classic transistor organ tones from warm to reedy to buzzy by choosing one of three popular FM Organ modes. [New to OS v1.2] Helping to broaden your creativity are three new FM organ types – titled F4, F5, and F6. These delve deeper into FM synthesis by adding modulators – or operators – that add upper harmonics to carriers, yet do not sound. The user interface of drawbars, coupled with modulators, create vastly new approaches to the traditional drawbar organ experience, bringing the traditional drawbar concept into the 21st century. The authentic Waterfall keyboard action of the YC61 was created by painstaking research into traditional organ keyboards and constant feedback from top keyboard artists. The result is a keyboard that not only provides the distinctive touch of an organ, it gives artists new ways to express themselves on acoustic and electric pianos, synth leads, brass sections and more. Hammond SK2 Instrument Keyboard Burgundy & Black (Dual Man 61 Note) We thought about calling this the “Have Your Cake And Eat It, Too” but that would look silly on the back. We agreed on calling it the HAMMOND Sk2 and when you play it you’ll see that first name is indeed appropriate. For many years, HAMMOND has been asked to make a truly portable double 61 note instrument that didn’t share the gross weight of a Refrigerator. The Sk2 can do it all. HAMMOND Drawbar voices up top, Grand Piano on the bottom-or vice versa. Manual Bass and Organ comp on the bottom, Horn section up top for accents. And yes, you can play the Sk2 as a double manual HAMMOND Organ in the traditional fashion, the Pipe Organ voices, too. Add one of our optional pedalboards, and you’ll have the pro rig you’ve always dreamed of, but didn’t have the roadies or van to realize. The wheels were notched according to pitch, and an electromagnetic pickup (much like that on an Electric Guitar) sensed those notches and rendered a musical note. The Drawbars combined those harmonic tones to produce the inimitable Hammond Organ sound The Modern Hammond Organ’s Sk Series’ VASE III “Engine” uses the exact model of Laurens Hammond’s design, executing it in the digital realm, with no moving parts, retaining all of the nuances, imperfections and idiosyncrasies of the original. The wheels are always “spinning”. When a note is played, the tones pass, just as water through a faucet. The random starts of each wave played allow for phase interaction, producing the rich tone so prized in the vintage Hammonds The Digital realization of Laurens Hammond’s System allows sophisticated control of every facet. Each Digital Tonewheel can be voiced for Volume, Timbre, Motor Noise and Leakage; enabling the musician to tailor the Modern Hammond to match the characteristics of any Vintage Hammond, or to create their own vision. Twelve Macro Profiles allow the user to quickly select the most popular “kinds” of Hammond, from Showroom-New to Road-Worn Antique and all points between At our website, You may now download and install custom Tonewheel sets provided by some of our Artists, as well as other vintage Hammond Organs as cloned by our in-house expert staff Classic Hammond Components The Tonewheel Generator wasn’t the only great invention of Laurens Hammond, and no Hammond Organ would be complete without the full spectrum of ingredients that comprised Mr. Hammond’s genius design Drawbars Mr. Hammond used the Pipe Organ Design concept of “Unification” in creating the iconic Drawbars of his Electronic Organ. This concept allowed one or more keyboards to control the pitches of many pipes within one set or “rank” of pipes. Adopting the harmonic standards and nomenclature of the Pipe Organ, Mr. Hammond’s design assured that any organist would be able to play his instrument without a steep learning curve. Unlike the Pipe Organ, Mr Hammond’s design allowed variable volumes of each Harmonic represented by each drawbar. This variation gave the musician millions of combinations of harmonics, and assured that every Hammond player would be able to summon a unique voice. An extra level to the expression a Hammond Organist had at their fingertips was added because the Drawbars could be manipulated in real time. The Sk Series features real drawbars in the size, shape and configuration of Vintage Hammonds. The Drawbars also serve the Combo and Pipe Organ divisions, but with a slightly different function Vibrato/Chorus One of the most distinctive parts of the Hammond sound is the shimmering “Chorus Vibrato”. It adds a silken quality to the sound by adding a second, slightly detuned pitch to the original in the Chorus Mode, and repeat-modulating the pitch slightly in Vibrato mode. Mr. Hammond’s original design used an electromechanical apparatus that looked much like the distributors you would find in the automobiles of the day, and ran off the same synchronous motor that powered the Tonewheel Generator. The Sk’s Chorus-Vibrato is executed in the Digital Realm, without moving parts, and works under the same model. The classic V1/V2/V3/C1/C2/C3 controls are familiar to anyone who has ever played a Hammond. As with the Tonewheel Generator, Digital control allows a wide range of adjustment that was simply not possible on the original. As the Antique organs aged, the components acquired their own unique qualities. Digital control allows the user to shape the Chorus/Vibrato’s various facets, with the added ability to “age” the effect-with the resulting treble emphasis and subtle distortion that marks the organs that develop this patina as “sweeter” than others. The new “Mix” control allows you to temper or boost the Chorus/Vibrato creating the sound of a Vintage Hammond whose Chorus/Vibrato has dimmed with extensive use, or has grown overly intense through the years. These adjustments are saved per preset. Touch-response Percussion The chief feature of the Hammond B-3 upon its release in 1955 was the inclusion of Touch-Response Percussion (Perc). This effect added a high “attack” to the Organ tone at either the octave or the twelfth, with a fast note decay. This sound was reminiscent of an xylophone or clave, and became immensely popular, immediately. Perc gave the Organ a bright highlight, and every generation of music has embraced this sound. Controls for the Perc have the classic nomenclature, familiar to anyone who has ever played a Hammond. On the Sk series, Perc is executed in the Digital realm, allowing a wide range of controls the organists back in the day did not possess. The 1′ drawbar muting, characteristic of the Vintage Organs can be defeated, as can the drop in Drawbar volume level that accompanied the engaging of the Percussion voice. You can control the volumes and decay times as well. Key Click In order that every key (and pedal) of Laurens Hammond’s Organ could access every Tonewheel as predicated by the Drawbar settings, an electro-mechanical apparatus lurked behind the keyboards, with 9 contacts corresponding to each drawbar for that keyboard and a series of contacts attached to each key. As a key was depressed, the contacts sequentially touched, and the circuits were completed to produce the Organ tone registered by the Drawbars. The very nature of Electric circuitry dictated a click could be heard at the top of each note played when the current-carrying key contacts touched. Laurens Hammond considered that click to be a nuisance, and worked to no avail in order to rid his organ of that imperfection. The jazz players who embraced the Hammond Organ, however, found the click to be a percussive highlight, and wanted nothing to do with its eradication. To make matters worse, as the Vintage Hammonds aged, the click became more pronounced, and by the Rock and Roll era, Key Click assumed a role of importance that Laurens Hammond could never imagine. The Sk series allows you to adjust the intensity of the key ON click, and the key OFF click. The timbre of the click may also be adjusted. Mr. Hammond would have greatly approved of the Sk, as you can turn the click all the way off if you desire, creating a Vintage Hammond Organ that could not exist in the physical world. The “tone” Control The inclusion of this obscure feature demonstrates the commitment to authenticity Hammond has brought to the Sk Series. Inside the Vintage Hammond B-3, on one side of the tube preamp, there was a “Screwdriver Pot” with the engraved legend “Tone”. It was introduced as a part of Mr. Hammond’s crusade to temper “key click”, but this was never made clear to the public. The “company line” was this control was to be adjusted by the Technician installing the organ in order to tame the treble response in the instance of the organ’s installation in a Church or Mortuary, where a more “muted” organ was desired. The control was a cocktail of upper Mid and High frequencies (the proportions of which were, until recently, held secret.) The “Tone” control was basically a “hi cut” control and only went “down”. That this control’s presence and location were obscured goes a long way in explaining why there was such a variation in sound among Hammonds. Further, You could not direct the control to go “up” for “boost”. The TONE control is included in the Sk’s menu with the added benefit of being able to BOOST the unique blend of frequencies, which adds a nice “edge” to the Sk tone, if desired. Digital Leslie Chicago Engineer/Inventor Don Leslie bought a Hammond Organ not long after its introduction in 1935, but felt the instrument lacked the warmth of the Mighty Theatre Pipe Organs he so loved. The main difference between Church Pipe Organs and Theatre Organs was the deep Tremulant that took the edge off the Theatre Organ’s pipes and made them emotionally “sob”. Making use of an acoustic phenomenon called the “Doppler Effect”, Mr. Leslie constructed a speaker cabinet that used a simple system of rotating horns and baffles to give the Hammond tone “motion” and “depth”. This created a different instrument altogether, one that could play “Popular” music. Mr. Hammond intended his organ for the Church and Classical Music, looking at “Popular” Music with disdain-he wanted nothing to do with Mr. Leslie’s invention when Mr. Leslie demonstrated it. The public however, took the combination of Hammond and Leslie to heart, and so it remains to this very day. It is difficult to think of one without the other, although Mr. Hammond never allowed Hammond Dealers to sell Leslie Speakers. After Mr. Hammond’s death, the two companies became partners, and now Hammond owns and manufactures Leslie Speakers. For both Hammond and Leslie, the golden goal was to produce a Leslie that did not require motor-driven speakers, and the goal has been reached in the Sk series, with the finest Digital Leslie we have ever produced. Now the elusive effect can be had where space and mobility have heretofore denied it. As an added benefit to being produced in the Digital realm, many aspects of the effect can be adjusted and tailored to ones own taste and requirement. Slow and Fast Rotor speeds, “Ramp Up” and “Ramp Down” speeds, Speaker Size, Amp type, Virtual Mic Placement and other parameters may be combined into “Cabinet” Macros which then may be assigned to any Organ Preset. In addition, 8 factory Cabinets, comprising the most popular Leslie Models like the 122, 147, 760, Vintage 31-H, and others are available for instant choice. There is even a model of the original PR-40 (Non-Rotating) Hammond Factory Tone Cabinet. A button on the Control Panel allows the bypass of the Digital Leslie circuit and sends the Organ tones directly to the Stereo Outputsof the original PR-40 (Non-Rotating) Hammond Factory Tone Cabinet. A button on the Control Panel allows the bypass of the Digital Leslie circuit and sends the Organ tones directly to the Stereo Outputs Vintage Combo Organs At the dawn of the Rock and Roll age, many groups could not carry the 500 pound Hammond Console Organ and 450 pound Leslie Speaker. The advent of transistor electronics brought forth smaller, more affordable portable Organs. The Thomas Organ Company in the U.S. and Italy’s Farfisa were at the vanguard of their design, and the Rock and Roll community embraced their instruments fervently. Thomas sold their Combo organs under the Vox name and their premier offerings were the “Continental” and the budget priced “Jaguar”. Farfisa’s organs became Rock icons, and the marque reached its height with its “Professional” model. The sound of the transistor Combo Organ never went out of style, and has even flourished in the “Indy” scene of the 21 st Century. The sounds of all three classic instruments are faithfully reproduced in the Sk series, with the ability to register them in the exact way you were able to on the originals. All three models employed a variation of Hammond’s Drawbars, and an accompanying legend on the control panel marks the functions for each drawbar, for each model. Pipe Organ Division The compact Sk series has a mammoth heart, with the inclusion of 32 Digital Ranks of Classical (Church) Pipe Organ derived from our Flagship 935 Church Organ. The Pipe Organ division uses the Drawbars as Drawknobs to select the stops you choose. Now you can take this majestic sound wherever you desire, whether it is to accompany Worship, Perform Classical Organ Literature, or Practice with Headphones in your Dormitory Room. Progressive Rock groups have relied on the sounds of Classical Pipe Organs, and have had to compromise with the few inflexible samples contained in Synthesizers and Samplers, but now the sky is the limit with a Classical Pipe Organ that can be registered in the traditional manner. As is customary with Hammond, each rank of pipes may be voiced independently to the user’s specification, and stored for instant recall. Your Sk-series instrument has a total of 20 Pipe voices – nine (9) for the Upper Manual, nine (9) for the Lower Manual and two (2) for the Pedals. Below is a list of the voices and the screen abbreviations: Upper – Bourdon 16′ (“Bourdn16″) – Open Diapason 8” (“OpnDiap8”) – Gedeckt 8′ (“Gedeckt8”) – Voix Celeste 8′ (“VnCelst8”) – Octave 4′ (“Octave 4”) – Flute Dolce 4′ (“FlDolce4”) – Flute 2′ (“Flute 2”) – Mixture 3 ranks (“Mixt.III”) – Hautbois 8′ (“Hautboi8”) Lower – Principal 16′ (“Princi16”) – Principal 8′ (“Princi 8”) – Melodia 8′ (“Melodia8”) – Rohr Flute 8′ (“RohrFl.8”) – Prestant 4′ (“Prestnt4”) – Flute 4′ (“Flute 4”) – Super Octave 2′ (“SupOct 2”) – Mixture 4 ranks (“Mixt. IV”) – Trompette 8′ (“Trompet8”) Pedal – Sub Bass 16′ & Bourdon 8′ (“Bass16+8”) – Principal Chorus 8′ & Mixture IV’ (“PC4+Mixt”) Organ Division Dsp and Other Features The Drawbar and Combo Organ Divisions have a number of effects that may be applied. 4 different types of Overdrive, Phase, Flange, Chorus (Stomp Pedal Style-separate from Hammond Chorus), Auto Pan, Ring Modulator, Wah-Wah, Delay and Tremolo. A 3-band EQ is available with Shelf Lo and Hi with sweepable Mid control. Prochord Hammond’s exclusive Prochord feature is added to a number of sounds, on the Sk series. With it, you play a chord on lower keyboard (with the keyboard split function engaged on the Sk1/Sk1-73/Sk1-88, and on the actual lower keyboard of the Sk2) and by playing a single note on the upper keyboard, you will hear complex harmonic voicings based on the chord that you are playing. With this feature, you can instantly produce a foolproof, professional sounding “horn section”, or other unique arrangements. This is not an “auto play” feature you might find on non-pro instruments, but a powerful tool that can add great color to your playing. The instances of Prochord in conjuction with the Symphonic Strings Library voices add another component, that of leading voices in perfect enharmonic form. This allows you to create a rich, orchestral score “on the fly”, playing one finger with playing chords on the lower manual. Extravoice Pianos/Clav/Harpsichord Even at Hammond, we realize that Musicians don’t live on Organ alone. There is a set of keyboard sounds that is basic to every genre of music, centered mostly on the Piano, acoustic and electric. Our goal in designing the Sk series was to create a foundation instrument providing the basic building blocks of a comprehensive keyboard rig, and that meant a serious Piano voice. Acoustic Grand Piano Our engineers meticulously developed the Sk’s Acoustic Grand Piano with the target being the Yamaha C7 Grand, perhaps the most widely admired Acoustic Piano in the World. It was engineered to respond to every nuance a player could ask of it, through all styles of music. It also had to have a comfortable playing feel in sight of the Sk’s Waterfall Keyboard which is a hallmark of Hammond Organs, and make an instant transition between “Organ Feel” and “Piano Feel” should the player make such a program change. One touch of the keyboard confirms and verifies the research and development that went into it. It’s one of the best sounding and playing Pianos anywhere-with a genuine Hammond Organ a switch press away. Electric Pianos After the Acoustic Grand, the next essentials are a pair of instruments that also have found their way into most every corner of music, the Rhodes and Wurlitzer Electric Pianos. These electromechanical instruments are great as rhythm voices, but are equally hot in the solo spotlight. Especially adaptable for many DSP effects, these two voices are tonal chameleons. If you can’t find something to play in a song, chances are a Rhodes or Wurlitzer will fill the void. The Sk features two variations of the Rhodes voice recalling their “Stage” and “Suitcase” models. Your playing velocity will reveal the depth of Hammond’s engineering, as greater velocity will call the various “artifacts” and noises that come with this electromechanical instrument. The Wurlitzer Electric Piano used vibrating metal “reeds” in place of the “tines” used by the Rhodes. The Wurlitzer was lighter in weight and sound than the Rhodes, but only until the Amps were cranked up, then the Wurlitzer became a rock/funk/blues beast. All flavors of the Wurlitzer are available in the SK series. It is difficult now to think of a time when Digital Pianos were not widespread, but it wasn’t long ago if you wanted the sound of a Piano, you either had to move one (insanity for a small band), or hope the venue had one (and it was well enough in tune…). In the late 70’s and 80’s, Yamaha came to the rescue with their ubiquitous CP-70 Electric Grand. Not quite a “real” Piano, but close enough; it became an iconic sound in and of itself. The Sk has captured this sound perfectly for your use. The other dominant keyboard sound in the 80’s was the “FM piano”, used in so many ballads and R&B songs. It, too is at your fingertips in the Sk’s palette Clavs Hohner’s Clavinet was essentially a solid body guitar played with a keyboard. It was a European curiosity for many years until artists like Stevie Wonder and Billy Preston got hold of it and made keyboard history. Funk, R&B and Disco were practically defined by its sound, most often heard with Phaser or AutoWah, usually both. Nearly every modern keyboard has a “Clav” stop, but few offer all the pickup positions and the wide range of sounds they cover. The Sk has all the combinations along with a CryBaby Wah model that morphs any volume pedal attached into a Wah Pedal. Harpsichord The Harpsichord may not be a first call Rock and Roll or Jazz instrument, but is an important part of many other genres. Like most of the Keyboards contained in the Sk, you are able to register the Sk’s Harpsichord traditionally, with a Lute stop available. Use An External MIDI Keyboard You can hook up an external MIDI keyboard to the Sk, such as a weighted 88 note controller, assigning all the Pianos, etc., to that keyboard and maintain the Sk’s keyboard as a dedicated Organ. This gives you a full keyboard rig that is very mobile, yet complete. Extravoice Accordion Like the Hammond Organ, the Accordion is an instrument found in many genres, with few modern keyboards accurately delivering the voice. The Sk features the entire range of a Suzuki 120 Accordion, with spot-on accurate and authentic registration capability. The unique symbols for Accordion registration appear in the display window, and a Musette setting is available as well. Extravoice Orchestral and Synth The Sk is designed to be a comprehensive foundation keyboard, providing the “meat and potatoes” for any performance, but Hammond adds a selection of Orchestral and Synth Instruments for added versatility. Trumpet, Trombone, both also with Mute, Flute, Alto, Tenor and Baritone Sax are offered in solo and ensemble voicings. Glockenspiel and Vibraphone voices are also on the menu. String Synth and Synth A selection of String Synth and Traditional Synth voices are available on the Sk. Like all of the Sk’s Extravoices, they may be played solo or in combination with any of the Drawbar, Pipe or Combo Organ tones. Extravoice Dsp and Other Features The Extravoice division has a DSP independent from the Organ division. 4 different types of Overdrive, Phase, Flange, Chorus, Auto Pan, Ring Modulator, Wah-Wah, Delay and Tremolo. A 3-band EQ is available with Shelf Lo and Hi with sweepable Mid control. Preset, Favorites, and Backup The Sk series has 100 Factory ROM Presets and 100 User-adjustable Presets. A Manual button on the control panel renders the entire control panel current. The ten buttons in the center of the control panel are assignable to any of the 200 presets for instant recall of your favorites. The same panel may be switched to a numeric input pad for direct selection of presets. The entire Sk setup may be saved to a common USB “Thumb Drive” for backup or restoration. Midi Controller Up to three external MIDI zones may be controlled by the Sk, with all settings saved as a preset. You can play these external zones with or without the Sk voices sounding. Other Features The Sk has an onboard Music Player that reads Mp3 or .WAV files stored on an attached USB “Thumb Drive”, and plays the audio signal along with the SK’s output through the Stereo ¼” outputs. A discrete volume control for the player and start/pause controls are located next to the Master Volume control. There is a system-wide reverb available, also a system-wide Equalizer. The Reverb parameters are saved within each preset, but the system-wide EQ is independent of the Presets, its settings remain unchanged regardless of Preset choice. System Upgrades are issued through this Website, and are installed via a USB “Thumb Drive”.

A Modern Classic Reinvented The Prophet Rev2 is Dave Smith’s reimagining of his Prophet ’08 poly synth — a modern classic that has appeared on countless recordings and stages since its debut in 2007. As Dave puts it, “The Prophet Rev2 is the realization of our effort to enhance and improve everything we could about the original design — all at a more accessible price.” The Prophet Rev2 retains all of the key features of the Prophet ’08 and expands on them. It has twice the polyphony, twice the mod matrix, waveshape modulation on all waveforms, digital effects per layer in stacked or split voice mode, a polyphonic step sequencer per layer, and more. The result is a true analog powerhouse. Best of all, you can download any of the many existing libraries of Prophet ’08 sounds and they will not only sound identical, but can be enhanced with the new features. 16-Voice Polyphony With 16 voices to play with, you have the freedom to allocate them as you wish. Play two-fisted chords, stack two 8-voice sounds for massive, complex textures, or split the keyboard into two completely separate 8-voice instruments. An 8-voice version is also available, which can later be expanded to 16-voices with the Expander Kit if desired. Bold Sound The Prophet Rev2 gets its bold, punchy sound from its 2/4 pole, low-pass, resonant Curtis filters per voice. These are the same filters used not only in the Prophet ’08, but in many classic instruments of the 70’s and 80’s. A separate Audio Mod control adds additional harmonic complexity and movement. Waveshape Modulation A powerful new feature unique to the Prophet Rev2 is waveshape modulation. You can now vary the “pulse width” of any of the four waveforms (sawtooth, saw+tri, triangle, square). Using the Shape Mod control, you can manually dial in a desired waveshape width or use an LFO or other mod source for continuously shifting timbre. Even single-oscillator sounds take on new depth and dimension. The tonal possibilities are vast. Effects Per Layer The effects section provides reverb, delays (standard and BBD), chorus, phase shifter, ring modulation, and distortion. In stacked or split voice mode, you can apply a different effect to each layer. Effects parameters can be modulated through the Mod Matrix. Extended Mod Matrix Also present from its predecessor is an easy-to-assign Mod Matrix, now twice as big, with 8 individual slots and many more sources/destinations. It’s a veritable sound designer’s playground. Poly Step Sequencing The polyphonic step sequencer allows up to 64 steps and up to 6 notes per step. You can create a different sequence for each layer when you are working in stacked or split voice mode, making it a powerful tool for composition or performance. The sequencer also functions as a modulation source in gated mode, allowing you to create up to 4 different 16-step sequences for complex modulation. Sequences allow ties and rests, and can sync to an external MIDI clock. The arpeggiator features note repeats, re-latching, and can be synced to external MIDI clock, as well. Per-Knob Programmability The knob-per-function front panel offers instant access to Prophet Rev2 functions. Included are 512 permanent factory programs and 512 rewritable user programs. Eminently Playable All of this polyphonic power is packed into a five-octave, premium-quality, semi-weighted keyboard with velocity and channel aftertouch. Other road-worthy features include an integrated power supply, USB support, and a crisp OLED display, making the Prophet Rev2 an ideal instrument for gigging or recording, and an analog powerhouse like no other. Prophet Rev2 Specifications OSCILLATORS 2 digitally controlled analog oscillators (DCOs) per voice (plus sub octave on oscillator 1) with selectable sawtooth, triangle, saw/triangle mix, and pulse waves (with pulse-width modulation) Glide (portamento): separate rates per oscillator White noise generator Analog VCAs Hard sync FILTERS 1 analog Curtis low-pass filter per voice, selectable 2- and 4-pole operation (self-resonating in 4-pole mode) ENVELOPES 3 envelope generators: filter, VCA, and assignable (four-stage ADSR + delay); Envelope 3 can loop. SEQUENCER Polyphonic step sequencer with up to 64 steps (6 notes per step), and ties and rests. Separate 16 x 4 gated step sequencer. Each layer can have a separate sequence. LFOS 4 LFO’s with key sync per LFO MODULATION 8-slot modulation matrix 22 sources 53 destinations 5 additional dedicated sources: mod wheel, pressure, velocity, breath controller, footswitch ARPEGGIATOR Programmable arpeggiator with up, down, up+down, random, assign modes Selectable note value: 16th note, 8th note triplet, 8th note, dotted 8th note, quarter note One, two, or three octave range Re-latching arpeggiation Note repeat CONTROLS 5-octave keyboard with semi-weighted action, velocity, and aftertouch 55 knobs and 35 buttons enable deep and comprehensive editing with little to no menu diving. The Skx Stage Keyboard - the smallest, lightest, full-featured dual-manual in the company’s history. Evolving from the highly successful line of Sk series Stage Keyboards, the Skx has embraced design recommendations from Professionals and Hobbyists alike. The result is a comprehensive instrument combining an authentic Hammond Organ featuring 3 sets of Harmonic Drawbars™, Vibrato-Chorus, Touch-Response Percussion™, and digital Leslie™; with a complete array of the most desired Keyboard Voices, such as Grand Pianos, Electric Pianos, Clavs, Orchestral and Percussive voices, and more. These may be combined with the Tonewheel voices, or with each other, in the twin Extravoice divisions. The Organ division is further equipped with 32 ranks of Hi-Def Classical Pipe Organ voices, and accurate models of the two most popular combo organs of the Sixties, which may be registered and played exactly as the originals. Further improvements are found in the expanded Voice Library memory allowing users to install their choices of custom voices obtained without charge from the Hammond Website. Multiple banks of favorite preset collections are now standard, as is a new set of factory presets created by Hammond’s Artist Roster. New to this instrument is the traditional 11-pin Leslie jack for connecting a Leslie™ Speaker cabinet. The classic “Half-Moon” switch (optional) can be added to control the speed of either the onboard digital Leslie or external Leslie Cabinet. More about the Skx THREE SETS OF DRAWBARS The Professional Organist desires an independent set of DRAWBARS for each Manual as well as the Pedal clavier, The Skx offers exactly that: REAL Drawbars in the style and operation of every classic HAMMOND ORGAN, allow you to register each manual and the pedal in the traditional manner. DUAL INDEPENDENT EXTRA VOICE DIVISIONS The Skx features TWO independent EXTRA VOICE Divisions, allowing you to layer different voices on one Manual, or assign a different voice to either Manual. You may also combine the EXTRA VOICES with the Tonewheel, Transistor or Pipe Organ voices. Balance between the chosen EXTRA VOICES is easily controlled with a dedicated MIX/BALANCE knob. EASY TO PLAY, READY FOR THE STAGE The Skx is designed for smooth use onstage and off. Define your 10 most-used patches from the 100 “User” and 100 “Factory” patches and assign them to the 10 “Favorite” quick-recall buttons on the Skx control panel. Adding even more versatility, there are now 10 “banks” of “Favorites” available for instant recall. The Skx also has an expanded EXTRA VOICE LIBRARY storage memory, allowing the installation of more downloaded voices from the HAMMOND website than previous models. THE VINTAGE SOUND, WITH NO MOVING PARTS The Skx’s authentic HAMMOND tone is produced by a “Virtual Tonewheel” Generator closely following Mr. Hammond’s original design, but executing it in the Digital Realm, without moving parts. This provides all the characteristics, and yes, all the imperfections that have come to define the classic HAMMOND sound. “Out of the box”, the Skx is set to the same factory tolerances a B-3 was set to during its production run, but the Digital control allows you to tailor nearly every aspect of the tone to your personal taste. Our Wave Composition™ system adds popular “Transistor Combo Organ” Voices, which you can register in the original fashion, plus 32 ranks of High-Definition Digital Classic Pipe Organ Voices. The SKX is perfectly at home in all types of music, from Blues to Rock to Jazz and Sacred, and all points in-between. PERCUSSION Hammond’s exclusive Touch-Response Percussion™ as found on vintage Hammonds is included, and its parameters are user-tweakable. CHORUS-VIBRATO As the Virtual Tonewheel Generator provides tonal accuracy, the classic “Mechanical Scanner” is precisely Digitally-Modeled, providing the timeless Hammond Chorus-Vibrato effect. The effect may be applied independently to each Manual, and again, nearly every aspect of the effect can be tailored to your taste, including the characteristics relating to “age and wear” so desired by discerning players. DIGITAL LESLIE™ Over 80 years of building Don Leslie’s Masterpiece has given us the edge in developing its 21st Century Digital Edition. The HAMMOND’S essential partner is yours at every moment, with 8 factory profiles of the most famous Leslie models (122, 147, et. al.), and 8 User-definable profiles allowing you to tailor the response matching the Hammond you create with its perfect mate. The accuracy of sound is remarkable. Of course, should you wish to hook up a physical Leslie Cabinet, the traditional 11-pin jack is located on the rear panel, and the onboard controls (including the optional CU-1 “half moon” switch) perform exactly as you expect. THE EXTRA VOICE DIVISION The inclusion of Hi-Definition Acoustic and Electric Pianos, Clav, Bass, and Accordion voices compliment the Organ tones, and create in the Skx a comprehensive foundation keyboard, the backbone of any serious keyboard rig. The Skx’s keying system replicates the feel of a weighted keyboard when playing piano-type voices, yet remains supple and responsive to every Hammond Organ technique. Stepping further, the most-wanted Orchestral Voices-Strings, Woodwinds and Brass are represented, many featuring Hammond’s exclusive ProChord™, which brings complex voicing to single key play based on the chords YOU provide. An extensive Library of elective EXTRA VOICES is available without charge from www.hammondorganco.com, to expand the Skx in directions YOU choose. DSP EFFECTS Two independent high-quality DSP units are aboard to provide Overdrive and other multi-effects to both the Organ and Extravoice Divisions. ●Overdrive ●Tremolo ●Auto Pan ●Wah-Wah ●Ring Modulator ●Phaser ●Flanger ●Chorus ●Delay ●Reverb PERFORMANCE OPERATIONS • OCTAVE Digital Control allows flexibility of performance a Vintage Hammond is incapable of. You may independently raise or lower the Upper and Lower Manual’s range by one octave, allowing greater comfort of playing. • PEDAL SUSTAIN A popular option for playing the Pedals or Manual Bass is Pedal Sustain, which allows the Pedal voice to smoothly decay upon release, much in the manner of a string bass. • MANUAL BASS Allows the PEDAL part to be played on the LOWER manual of the Skx.(AKA "Manual Bass") You can choose from 3 modes,: Lowest played note only / Chord / Root notes as discriminated by chord played. The "F-Bass" Bass Guitar voice is now a part of the "Pedal" division. You no longer need to devote an EXTRAVOICE to have this desirable feature. • LOWER to PEDAL Couples the LOWER manual registration to the PEDAL Part. • TRANSPOSE Allows you to shift the entire pitch of the keyboard to match singers, soloists and the other instruments, or to simplify key changes. • MASTER EQUALIZER Bass/Mid Gain/Mid Frequency/Treble • PROCHORD Certain Extra Voice instruments are enhanced with the ProChord™ function. This allows complex voicings to be played with one finger, based on chords played on the lower manual. 26 distinct chords are “parsed” by the ProChord™ function, with proper passing tones provided to insure proper enharmonic continuity. • MIDI MASTER KEYBOARD External Zones are available to enable the Skx to be used as a MIDI master keyboard. 3 on the Upper Keyboard, 2 on the Lower Keyboard, and 1 on the Pedal Clavier. • USB TYPE “A” PORT A USB Type “A” port is included, intended for saving/loading setups, system updates, downloaded Extra Voice libraries, and the music player. The Music Player allows WAV/MP3 audio files to be controlled and played through the Skx Audio Outputs. • LESLIE 11-PIN JACK A standard 11-pin Leslie jack is included on the rear panel. Attaching a Leslie here disables the Digital Leslie effect from the output, and allows the Leslie Cabinet to respond to the onboard Leslie Controls. If the attached Leslie is a 1-channel Model, the EXTRAVOICE Division remains at the LINE OUT Jacks. (requiring an additional non-rotary keyboard amplifier.)

Kyra is a powerful, hardware virtual analog synthesizer capable of creating a wide range of contemporary sounds for live and studio musicians. From first glance it is patently obvious that Kyra is a beautifully-designed desktop VA Synthesizer — as the wording elegantly emblazoned on its eye-catching front fascia subtly states. As a truly multitimbral instrument it features eight independent ‘parts’ with up to 32 notes per PART, each effectively being a complete synthesizer with sound sources (OSC GROUP 1, OSC GROUP 2, SUB 1, and SUB 2); FILTERS; modulators (EGs, LFOs, and MOD MATRIX); multi-effects unit (EFFECTS); and a USB 2.0 connection — can exchange MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) information, as well as send the audio from each stereo PART to a computer as eight stereo 24-bit streams at 96kHz (with 48kHz downsample mode available) and one stereo audio return from the computer supporting a single 24-bit stereo audio stream from the host DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). With that being said, the only other resource they share are the four balanced, stereo output pairs — OUT A (Right and Left), OUT B (Right and Left), OUT C (Right and Left), and OUT B (Right and Left) — using 32-bit DAC (Digital-to-Analogue Conversion) running at 96kHz sampling rate connected to four internal stereo busses and that powerful pool of 128 hardware voices. Versatility further abounds as each PART has a dedicated multi-effects unit comprising nine stereo effects modules — namely, three-band EQ, Formant filter, input Limiter, Distortion module, Delay module, six-state Phaser, Chorus flanger, Stereo reverb, and output Limiter — with dedicated audio stream via USB (Universal Serial Bus). Patches Better still, each PART hosts a Patch from the pool available to the system. Speaking of which, Kyra has a generous Patch storage capacity of 26 banks — A through to Z, each containing 128 patches. That’s a total of 3,328! The first seven banks are ‘user’ patches stored in RAM (Random Access Memory), meaning users can change them quickly and individually using the Store sequence. The remaining 19 banks are ROM (Read-Only Memory) patches that users can recall and use just like RAM patches but cannot be replaced using the Store sequence. It is, however, perfectly possible to freely copy whole banks between RAM and ROM, so all are user- programmable. And any Patch can be recalled via MIDI program changes and Bank select commands. Oscillators As a sensational synthesizer with a spectacular specification, Kyra has two primary virtual alias-free oscillator groups (OSC GROUP 1 and OSC GROUP 2) per voice, each with Saw (sawtooth); Wave (waveform) — with no fewer than 4,096 18-bit linear PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) 32x oversampled waveforms covering a huge range of synthetic and emulated sound sources with two wave sources per voice; Pulse; and noise simultaneously available. Also OSC GROUP 1 and OSC GROUP 2 each has an independent detune-able oscillator — SUB 1 and SUB 2 — with four selectable shapes and two selectable (Octave) pitches. Real Hard Sync, ring modulation, and FM (Frequency Modulation) are available between those oscillator groups. Get this, though: switching from Wave mode — meaning Kyra adopts a virtual analogue synthesis model which has the advantage that it is easy to construct sounds using intuitive subtractive synthesis — to Hypersaw mode configures the voice to use a special algorithm comprising six real oscillators to quickly create lush-sounding soundscapes. Digging deeper, Hypersaw mode replaces Wave mode’s two oscillator groups with a single source whose tonal content is constructed with just two adjustable controls — Hypersaw Intensity and Hypersaw Spread (geometric detuning). Built entirely out of multiple, harmonically-rich sawtooth waves or ‘partials’ each adjusted to that special algorithm, the Hypersaw provides characteristic soundscapes ideal for a wide range of uses — from high-impact lead sounds through to lush, animated pads. Placed in Dual Mode, the Hypersaw has 12 real oscillator sources with an additional adjustable stereo spread. Filter Successfully synthesizing sound is inextricably linked with flexible filtering. Fortunately for discerning users, Kyra’s FILTERS front panel perfectly positions powerful control, creatively implementing accurate emulations of classic analogue ladder filters with 2-pole (12dB/octave) low pass (12dB LP), band pass (12dB BP), and high pass (12dB HP), plus 4-pole (24dB/octave) low pass (24dB LP), band pass (24dB BP), and high pass (24dB HP) configurations. Creatively, 128 filters are configurable for single or dual parallel (Dual Filter) true stereo operation. Envelope and LFOs Onwards and upwards, three fast-response ADSR (Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release) envelope generators with EG Slope setting are also at hand. Helpfully, one is assigned to the VCA (Voltage Controlled Amplifier), another to the filter, while the third can be freely assigned. All are available in the MOD MATRIX (modulation matrix), itself being a six-channel affair with up to three destinations per channel giving a maximum of 18 routings. It is also worth noting that the three LFOs (Low Frequency Oscillators) — with 128 waveforms, monophonic, polyphonic, random, anti-phase, and quadrature stereo phase settings — are also available in the MOD MATRIX and additionally as a MIDI clock sync source. Arpeggiator Creativity continues courtesy of an arpeggiator (ARP) on each PART with 128 preset patterns; Up, Down, Random, and Chords modes; and an ability to synchronise to MIDI clock. Arpeggiators are aimed at live performance, primarily, but can clearly complement composition. Kyra’s ARP is an integral part of a Patch, so settings are always stored. Display and Connections Far from forgetting its helpful high-resolution 256x64 pixel graphic OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) display alongside the traditional array of MIDI In, Out, and Thru connections — complimenting USB 2.0 — on five-pin DIN, as well as full key microtuning capability with MIDI Tuning Standard (MTS support), it is fair to say that Kyra is, indeed, one of the most powerful music synthesizers ever built... a sensational synthesizer with a spectacular specification, set to take performances and compositions to higher states of musicality and sound design! The Creation of the Waldorf Kyra Synthesizer – Frequently Asked Questions What is Kyra? Kyra is a powerful, hardware virtual analog synthesizer capable of creating a wide range of contemporary sounds for live and studio musicians. What type of musician/producer is Kyra aimed at? Kyra is aimed at the semi-professional and professional producer. It is equally at home in live or studio environments. Live musicians will appreciate the big, floor-filling “wall of sound” and built-in effects that means Kyra can go straight to the mixer and venue amplification. Studio producers will appreciate the massive polyphony, multiple parts and ability to integrate completely with their audio workstations via multiple, balanced analog outputs as well as the high-capacity audio streaming via high-speed, class-compliant USB 2.0. Why was Kyra created? Kyra was created to fill a gap in the synthesizer market for a powerful digital, virtual analog synthesizer. Key to the design was to have no compromises on sound quality, ease of use, studio integration and raw power, all with a price tag that puts ownership within reach of producers working to a real-world budget. How would you characterise Kyra’s sound? It really is a wall of sound. With so many oscillators and voices, Kyra really does make an impact. Having said that, it is also capable of delicate sounds too. As Kyra is oversampled, there’s no rolloff at higher frequencies. Kyra has a crystal clear sound. We are discovering new sounds on Kyra all the time and as more programmers create patches for it, we continue to be amazed at what can be achieved. Kyra’s sound is very complementary to other synthesizers in Waldorf’s range. It can be tame and remarkably smooth with very good emulations of classic analog synthesizers but it can also be big, bold and brash. Tell me about this FPGA technology, what does it do for me as a musician? Kyra is, as far we know, the first professional synthesizer to be based entirely on an FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array). Even though this may be appear to be a technical detail it does have some real benefits for musicians. In particular, it offers the raw processing power of a very high end desktop computer but without the problems that are associated with such machines such as slow start up, unreliable operating systems and copious amounts of heat being generated. Even though Kyra has this sort of processing power, it starts up in under 4 seconds and uses less than ten watts of fan-free power (a typical high end desktop computer would use over 250 watts of power). Another benefit to this technology is reliability. As all of Kyra’s audio generation, filtering and processing is done on a single chip, reduced component counts mean Kyra is less expensive to build and is more reliable. What is unique about Kyra? Why should I buy it? There are few synthesizers, if any, that are as powerful as Kyra. There are some notable features on Kyra that would usually be associated with much more expensive instruments such as a solid, all-metal chassis, 32 bit “Velvetsound” DACs, multiple balanced audio outputs and multi-part audio streaming over USB. So Kyra has four stereo outputs? How is that useful to me? Kyra offers four, balanced, stereo outputs that you can freely assign each of Kyra’s 8 Parts to. Studio producers will find this particularly useful as it means you can use outboard processing and effects, either connected directly or via bus sends on your mixer. With each of Kyra’s four outputs connected to your mixer, you can level, pan, EQ and process each of Kyra’s outputs as you wish. You can choose whether to use Kyra’s on board effects or to use your favourite outboard as you wish, on a Part-by-Part basis. I understand Kyra has a comprehensive USB Audio implementation. Tell me more. One of the design objectives of Kyra was to “do USB audio properly”. Forums are packed with complaints about synthesizers that have unreliable or under-specified USB implementations. We spent a lot of time getting USB right on Kyra and studio producers can take advantage of this. Kyra uses its FPGA and a dedicated processor purely for USB and the result is a rock-solid USB 2.0 High Speed (480Mbits capacity) audio and MIDI implementation that is capable of streaming all 8 of Kyra’s Parts as studio-quality 96kHz 24 bit audio to an audio workstation. In addition, to address the one-driver limitation of ASIO, Kyra will accept a single return audio stream for audio workstation setups so that your final playback can be via Kyra. As Kyra’s USB implementation is completely USB Audio 2.0 compliant, you can be assured of excellent support across a wide range of platforms. Kyra works with MacOS out the box and with Windows 7 and above with a supplied driver. Linux users should be able to use Kyra’s USB too but we do not support Linux officially as there’s so many flavours and distributions to test. Kyra’s USB is fully USB MIDI compliant too so producers who have moved away from DIN MIDI do not need to buy a MIDI interface unit to use Kyra in their studio. With all that power, I bet Kyra is hard to program. Is this true? It’s true that Kyra is powerful but it was designed to be easy to program. Here at Waldorf, we believe that users should be able to create their own sounds and not just rely on the factory presets and commercial patch banks. Kyra builds on familiar foundations – sound sources, filters, modulators and effects. But it takes this all to the next level, in terms of quantity, quality and modulation possibilities. With Kyra, you can use your existing experience and start creating new Patches straight away. OK but I guess there’s a lot of menu diving right? Very little in fact. All of Kyra’s main functions have their own controls. Only a few more obscure functions require some menu navigation. What type of display does Kyra have? Kyra features an OLED display. This is a newer technology than the LCDs found on most synthesizers. It is much clearer and can be viewed from any angle. I’m a power patch programmer, I need an Editor. Does Waldorf offer one? Currently, Waldorf does not offer an Editor for Kyra. However, we expect good support by third party providers. Kyra has a comprehensive MIDI implementation to support this. Is Kyra fully stereo? Yes, Kyra offers a full stereo signal path. When configured for “Dual Mode” operation, there’s two complete sets of oscillators, filters and modulators and these feed into a full stereo effects chain. You can achieve very animated, stereo sounds with Kyra. What’s Kyra’s build quality like? Can I rely on Kyra for live gigs? Kyra is solid, you’ll feel that when you first use it. The chassis is made from high grade steel, the controls are custom made. The connectors are designed for professional use. Tell me about Kyra’s effects? Effects were a design priority for Kyra and it has a lot of effects modules. Each of Kyra’s 8 Parts has a complete, independent effects chain. Effects are an integral part of a Patch in Kyra and you don’t need to share them across the Parts. Kyra features nine effects modules for each Part including a 3-band shelving EQ with sweepable mid, a formant filter, a distortion unit, an input limiter, a 6-stage phaser, a digital delay line, a chorus/flanger/comb unit a reverb unit and a final output limiter. You can use all the effects on all the Parts at the same time and they’re all oversampled and full stereo. You can selectively defeat Kyra’s effects units. This allows live musicians to use Kyra’s multiple analog outputs as effects sends to their favourite outboard and it allows studio producers to use their favourite virtual effects on their workstations. With Kyra, you can pick and choose what is best for you when it comes to effects. Is it true that Kyra really has 1,280 oscillators? Yes, Kyra has 1,280 oscillators available for use. These are actual, real oscillators and not “best effort” or simulations of multiple oscillators. With so many oscillators, Kyra can produce powerful sounds with lots of detuning where required. Stack them up into a stereo hypersaw or slice and dice them with the ring modulator, FM or hard sync. The choice is yours. Is Kyra really 128 note polyphonic? For real sounds not just simple ones? Kyra can play 128 notes at the same time (up to 32 on any single Part). This is always the case regardless of the patch settings and effects used. The only exception is Dual Mode which uses two voice channels per note. Kyra’s polyphony is not a “maximum” or “up to” it is actual. I hear Kyra’s waveforms are static? Is that true? Kyra provides two oscillators per voice each with the huge amount of 4096 possible waveforms to choose from. You can cross-fade between two waveforms as well as apply ring modulation, FM or hard sync between them. When combined the possibilities are almost unlimited. Specifications Sound engine: Virtual analog synthesis 128 voices 8 parts All sound features can be used simultaneously Oscillators per voice: two Wave osc with 4096 waveforms two Pulse osc two Saw osc two Noise osc two Sub osc with several waveforms Hard Sync Hypersaw Mode Oscillator FM and Ring mod Oscillators are in two groups for better overview All osc per voice are available simultaneously Per part: 9 simultaneously available effects 6-slot Mod Matrix with multiple destinations per slot Furthermore: 2 filters: 12/24dB and LP/BP/HP in all configurations 3 envelope generators (EG) 3 LFOs with 128 shapes each Extras: 26 patch banks (A to Z) with 128 slots each Arpeggiator with 128 preset patterns Octave Transpose Double Mode: layers the same sound two times and detunes them against each other Hardware: Sturdy full metal case 256x64 pixel OLED Kensington Lock Connections: USB 2.0 for MIDI and audio 5-pin DIN MIDI In/Out/Thru 8 balanced analog audio outputs plus Headphone out Audio interface Kyra can be used as an audio interface Audio is transmitted to the computer via USB in up to 24bit/96kHz Each Part is transmitted to the computer in stereo (16 channels in total) 2 audio channels from the computer can be played back through Kyra

DEEPMIND 12D allows you to conjure up virtually any sound you can imagine with unparalleled finesse and ease. Thanks to its 4 FX engines, dual analog OSCs and LFOs per voice, 3 ADSR Generators, 8-Channel Modulation Matrix and onboard 32-Step Control Sequencer, the DEEPMIND 12D gives you complete control over your soundscape. Plus, DEEPMIND 12D features comprehensive remote control via iPad*/PC/Mac and selected Android* Apps over USB, MIDI or built-in Wifi – for a custom-tailored workflow that lets your creative spirit soar to new heights. Classic Polyphonic Synthesizer The inspired synthesizer tracks laid down in the 1970s and '80s are etched in the annals of progressive rock and pop music forever, making them truly classic in every sense of the word. DEEPMIND 6’s pure analog signal path with legendary IR3109-style VCFs, stereo VCAs, and 12-voice polyphony lets you recreate all that magic or design the powerful, original sounds that just might make you a legend in your own right. The FX Racks We also included 4 simultaneous FX engines with over 33 world-class TC ELECTRONIC, MIDAS and KLARK TEKNIK algorithms – including Reverb, Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Delay, Multiband Distortion, and many more. Custom-designed and physically modeled after some of the most iconic and sought-after processors, DEEPMIND 6’s FX were essentially “rebuilt” in the digital domain – and put right at your fingertips. All effects run inside the low-latency environment of the DEEPMIND 6, ensuring flawless performance and flexible routing. TC ELECTRONIC is synonymous with some of the best sounding reverbs found anywhere. The TC DEEP REVERB provides 9 iconic reverb modes you know and love in tone effect that sounds insanely good. It’s amazing that just 4 controls (Decay, Tone and PreDelay) provide such a wide range of tonal options – bright and springy, warm and bouncy, or gigantic dark reflections. All that – and then some! The Lexicon 480L* has been recognized as the gold standard of digital reverb, and we have included five of the finest reverb models: HALL, AMBIENT, RICH PLATE, ROOM and RICH CHAMBER. These models precisely capture all nuances based on our “True Physical Modeling” and our algorithms even incorporate the unit’s AD/DA gain stepping converters – nailing the entire analog and digital circuit paths, right down to the last detail. (Inspired by Lexicon 480L*) Based on the legendary EMT250, the VINTAGE REVERB delivers a shimmering, bright reverb that won’t drown out or overpower your live/recorded tracks. Use the VINTAGE REVERB to sweeten vocals and snare drums without sacrificing clarity. (Inspired by EMT250 Plate Reverb*) PLATE REVERB emulates the characteristics of a plate reverb chamber with control over the damping pad, modulation depth and speed, and crossover. PLATE REVERB will give your tracks the sound heard on countless hit records since the late 1950s. (Inspired by Lexicon PCM70*) Our GATED REVERB recreates the sound achieved by combining a reverb with a noise gate, and is especially effective for a 1980s-style snare sound or to boost the presence of a kick drum. (Inspired by Lexicon 300/480L*) REVERSE REVERB puts the reverb tail in front of the sound source, creating a swelling crescendo that adds an ethereal quality to vocal and snare tracks. (Inspired by Lexicon 300/480L*) Taking up only one FX slot, the CHORUS & CHAMBER effect combines the shimmer and doubling characteristics of a studio-grade chorus with the sweet sound of a traditional chamber reverb. (Inspired by Lexicon PCM70*) Here we combine DELAY & CHAMBER, so that a single device can provide a variety of delay settings, plus add just the right type and amount of reverb to the selected signal. (Inspired by Lexicon PCM70*) FLANGER CHAMBER combines the mind-bending, filter-sweeping effect of a state-of-the-art flanger with the elegant sweetening of a traditional chamber reverb – all in one FX slot. (Inspired by Lexicon PCM70*) The 4 BAND EQ is a sweep parametric equalizer, and is taken directly from the MIDAS PRO X Live Digital Console. The bands are low, low mid, high mid and high, with the mid bands using a Q Factor adjustment to custom-tailor the sound. Any combination of the four bands may be used simultaneously. STEREO ENHANCER lets you emphasize the Bass, Midrange and Hi output at selectable frequencies, for maximum punch, clarity and detail – without turning up the overall volume. (Inspired by SPL Vitalizer*) The Fairchild 670 tube compressor not only achieves record bids in high-end vintage gear auctions, it also delivers some of the finest colorations in compressor history. Two small trim VR’s preset the control side chain action, a six-step switch determines the timing, and the two large Input and Threshold knobs adjust the levels. Our FAIR COMPRESSOR model is true to the original signal path, and conveniently provides models for dual, stereo-linked or mono and stereo operation. (Inspired by Fairchild 670*) MIDAS MULTI-BAND DISTORTION is ideal for making the sound gritty, adding more warmth through saturation, or even enhancing a specific frequency region. With 6 distortion types to choose from, you can go from softly-saturated to ultra-aggressive distorted tones – and everything in-between. The RACKAMP simulates the sound of plugging your instrument (or sound) into a real amplifier. From shimmering cleans to saturated crunch, the RACKAMP allows you to sound great – without using an amp on stage. (Inspired by Tech 21 SansAmp*) The EDISON EX1+ is the reincarnation of one of our own analog classics. This remarkably-effective tool allows manipulation of the stereo field. Selectable M/S input/output modes allow the processing or creation of mono or stereo sound sources. (Inspired by BEHRINGER EDISON) AUTO PAN creates an up and down volume change at a constant and even tempo, just like the guitar amps of yesteryear. Use the AUTO PAN to add a unique “surf-music” texture to your performance. The NOISE GATE block sounds from passing that are below the applied threshold level, without reducing overall dynamics thanks to our proprietary Transient Accenting technology. STEREO DELAY provides independent control of the left and right delay times and features high and low pass filters for enhanced tone shaping of the affected signals. Use the STEREO DELAY to give your mono signals a wide presence in the stereo field. The 3-TAP DELAY records the input signal and then echoes it back after a user-definable period of time and number of repeats. What makes the stereo and triple delay useful and outstanding is the linked tap-timing and musical choice of echo patterns. Use the 3-TAP DELAY to fatten up vocals and instruments, or to add an enhanced spatial element to any performance. The 4-TAP DELAY records the input signal and then echoes it back after a user-definable period of time and number of repeats. What makes the stereo and quadruple delay useful and outstanding is the linked tap-timing and musical choice of echo patterns. Use the 4-TAP DELAY to fatten up vocals and instruments, or to add an enhanced spatial element to any performance. TEL-RAY ECHO DELAY features an incredibly simple set of knobs that allow you to create delay, echo, chorus, vibrato and reverb type effects – all in one handy device. (Inspired by original 1960's Tel-Ray gear) DECIMATOR DELAY reduces the sampling frequency and the bit-depth of the signal. The Decimator Delay is a creative tool that can be used in many ways, from emulating the aliasing noise found in older samplers, to generating complex, low-fi and rough delay lines. MODULATION DELAY combines three of the most used time modulation effects into one easy-to-operate unit. Enjoy true-stereo delay with a lush and spacious chorus, topped off with three reverb models to choose from. STEREO CHORUS samples the input, slightly detunes it and mixes it with the original signal to produce a somewhat thicker, shimmering sound. Use it to fatten up background vocals, or to double the sound of brass and woodwind instruments. The DIMENSIONAL CHORUS is the perfect emulation of what has been referred to as “the best analog chorus unit ever created”. Four simple Mode preset buttons activate amazing effects, best described as “space” and “dimension”. Absolutely faithful to the original, multiple preset buttons can be pressed simultaneously. (Inspired by Roland Dimension D Chorus*) The STEREO FLANGER emulates the phase-shifting sound (comb-filtering) originally created by applying pressure against the flange of the reel on a tape recorder. This effect creates a unique “wobbly” sound that is quite dramatic when used on vocals and instruments. A STEREO PHASER, or phase shifter, applies multiple stages of modulated filters to the input signal to create a “notch” in the frequency response, and then blends it with the original for a “swirling” effect. Use the STEREO PHASER to add a “spaced-out” sound to vocal or instrument tracks. The MOOD FILTER uses an LFO generator and an auto-envelope generator to control a VCF (voltage-controlled filter), as well as a side chain function where the channel B signal controls the envelope of channel A. The DUAL PITCH SHIFTER allows you to add up to two additional notes to the original signal to create harmony. It can also be used with only a minor pitch adjustment to create much thicker sounds, often referred to as “voice doubling”. ROTARY SPEAKER emulates the sound of a Leslie rotating speaker and is most commonly associated with an organ or guitar. This version provides much more flexibility than its electro-mechanical counterpart, and can be used with a variety of instruments (even vocals) to create a whirling, psychedelic effect. Glorious 12-Note Polyphony Playing chords and building textural soundscapes requires the ability to generate multiple notes or sounds simultaneously. While early analog synthesizers were either monophonic (only 1 note at a time), or somewhat limited in the number of sounds they could produce at the same time, the DEEPMIND 12D boosts your creativity with 12-note polyphony. Each voice has 2 oscillators, with OSC 1 generating sawtooth and square/pulse waveforms with pulse width modulation, and OSC 2 generates square/pulse waveforms with a unique tone modulation. With 24 oscillators at your disposal, a tremendous range of options becomes available including the following oscillator modes: Unison 12, 6, 4, 3, 2 Mono; Mono -2; Mono 4; Mono 6; Poly; Poly 6, and Poly 8. The addition of oscillator sync, oscillator drift and parameter drift allow the recreation of the much sought after warmth and movement found in vintage analog synthesizers, with greatly improved reliability and stability. Making Waves Individual voices also have 2 LFOs (Low-Frequency Oscillators) with a range that extends into the audio rate. Each LFO features adjustable slew-rate, modulation delay, key sync, assignable clock sync (internal or external MIDI), envelope auto-triggering, as well as Delay and Fade in. The 7 available waveform shapes are; Sine; Triangle; Square; Ramp Up; Ramp Down; Sample and Hold, and Sample and Glide for an amazing array of tonal options. The DEEPMIND 12D also offers a highly unusual Phase Link option for the polyphonic LFOs, allowing them to operate in Unison (Mono), or link with an adjustable phase shift between voices. Additionally, the LFOs can track key pitch via the modulation matrix, enabling cross mod type effects. 3 Envelope Generators When it comes to envelope generation, DEEPMIND 12D has all bases covered, thanks to 3 four-stage ADSR (Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release) envelope generators per voice, each equipped with continuously-variable curves for truly unique flexibility. Envelope Trigger Modes include: Legato, Mono, and Retrigger. The envelopes can be triggered by key, individual LFOs, or the control sequencer and looped well into the audio rate. DEEPMIND 12D serves up all the versatility and tone-sculpting options a professional musician could ask for. 8-Channel Modulation Matrix Want to modulate the reverb tail or compressor with the mod wheel? How about driving the MIDAS Multiband Distortion effect with an LFO or aftertouch? With 20 modulation sources and more than 130 destinations, DEEPMIND 12D provides a multitude of modulation options. And the "press & hold" shortcuts make selection of those sources and destinations quick and easy. 32-Step Control Sequencer The control sequencer features an adjustable slew rate, MIDI sync, and allows a 32-step pattern of values, which can vary from -127 to 127. Other parameters that can be controlled include: note value; tie and length; slew; and swing. These can all be mapped as modulation sources to any of the available destinations. Remote Control Comprehensive remote control is available for DEEPMIND 12D via iPad*/PC/Mac App over USB, MIDI or built-in WiFi for extended parameter control. The iPad App also features a robust preset manager, gig list full editor and integral Patch Morpher*. Pure Analog Signal Path A modern reincarnation of a beloved analog classic (with true bypass studio-grade FX), all of DEEPMIND 12D's sounds are purely analog – all the way from OSC 1, which generates sawtooth and square/pulse waveforms with user-definable pulse width modulation (PWM), and OSC 2, which generates square/pulse waveforms with tone modulation. The combination of square/pulse waves on OSC 1 and tone modulation on OSC 2 gives the DEEPMIND 12D a boldly unique and fresh character not found in competing products. Low Pass Filter & Envelope Faders Everything about the DEEPMIND 12D has been designed to give you total control over the creative process. That goes for the selectable, dual slope 12/24 dB analog low pass filter with adjustable resonance and tracking (per voice), and the 4 Envelope faders that smoothly transform individual segments of the envelope between linear, exponential and reverse exponential curves. Big, Fat Tones DEEPMIND 12D provides your choice of powerful unison or poly modes, with detune, pan spread and drift parameters, that can handle up to 12 voices per note for incredibly fat tones. And if you want even more, just engage the global noise generator to expand the waveform options. DEEPMIND 12D's extreme versatility empowers you to be your creative best. Polyphonic Portamento While most synthesizers only allow simple mono portamento glides, the DEEPMIND 12D lets you create stunningly smooth mono and polyphonic chord glissandos that will really get your juices flowing. Options include flexible fixed rate, fixed time and exponential pitch glide modes of operation. Arpeggiator A very sophisticated Arpeggiator is also provided, complete with a tap tempo button and user-configurable pattern modes that exhibit a level of refinement previously only available from a sequencer. DEEPMIND 12D's arpeggiator can operate across up to 6 octaves, and you can choose from 32 preset rhythmic patterns with up to 32 steps and rests – or create and save your own. Modes of operation include: UP; DOWN; UP-DOWN; UP-INV; DOWN-INV; UP-DN-INV; UP-ALT; DOWN-ALT; RAND; AS-PLAYED, and CHORD. A wide range of clock options are also available, as well as hold switch latching. Chord Memory Want to build impossibly-huge chords that can be played with a single finger. DEEPMIND 12D allows you to write extremely complex chords and polychords (up to 12 notes each), save them into memory locations – and perform them with the press of a single key. There is enough storage space onboard for 36 six-note chords, all of which can be mapped to specific trigger keys. True Bypass Mode The FX menu of the DEEPMIND 12D is accessed by pressing the FX button, which in turn brings up the FX page on the LCD display. This is where you assign, route and adjust all FX parameters, including Mode, Mix and Level. You can select the Bypass Mode to completely remove the digital FX from the signal path for a pure, high-integrity analog tone. High Pass Filter The 6 dB High Pass Filter (HPF) in the DEEPMIND 12D lets you set the lower cutoff frequency of the output signal. The accompanying Boost switch applies a +12 dB bass boost to the signal path to fatten up the bottom end. You Are Always in Control We can't help ourselves – like you, we're gear-heads, too. For those who want the numbers, DEEPMIND 12D has: 26 sliders; 33 switches; 1 rotary encoder; and 2 knobs – all are laid out in a highly-intuitive format designed to put the joy back into your music creation. Large LCD Screen The large and easy-to-read LCD screen provides rapid parameter editing and program selection on-the-fly, for a total hands-on performance with real-time access to all important parameters. The screen shows the synthesizer status, parameters, and the five main menu pages: Connectivity; Keyboard; Pedal; Fader and System. Glorious 6-Note Polyphony Playing chords and building textural soundscapes requires the ability to generate multiple notes or sounds simultaneously. While early analog synthesizers were either monophonic (only 1 note at a time), or somewhat limited in the number of sounds they could produce at the same time, the DEEPMIND 6 boosts your creativity with 6-note polyphony. Each voice has 2 oscillators, with OSC 1 generating sawtooth and square/pulse waveforms with pulse width modulation, and OSC 2 generates square/pulse waveforms with a unique tone modulation. With 12 oscillators at your disposal, a tremendous range of options becomes available including the following oscillator modes: Unison 6, 4, 3, 2 Mono; Mono -2; Mono 4; Mono 6; and Poly. The DEEPMIND 6 also offers a highly unusual Phase Link option for the polyphonic LFOs, allowing them to operate in Unison (Mono), or link with an adjustable phase shift between voices. Additionally, the LFOs can track key pitch via the modulation matrix, enabling cross mod type effects. 3 Envelope Generators When it comes to envelope generation, DEEPMIND 6 has all bases covered, thanks to 3 four-stage ADSR (Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release) envelope generators per voice, each equipped with continuously-variable curves for truly unique flexibility. Envelope Trigger Modes include: Legato, Mono, and Retrigger. The envelopes can be triggered by key, individual LFOs, or the control sequencer and looped well into the audio rate. DEEPMIND 6 serves up all the versatility and tone-sculpting options a professional musician could ask for. 8-Channel Modulation Matrix Want to modulate the reverb tail or compressor with the mod wheel? How about driving the MIDAS Multiband Distortion effect with an LFO or aftertouch? With 19 modulation sources and more than 130 destinations, DEEPMIND 6 provides a multitude of modulation options. Remote Control Comprehensive remote control is available for DEEPMIND 6 via iPad*/PC/Mac App over USB or MIDI for extended parameter control. The iPad App also features a robust preset manager, gig list full editor and integral Patch Morpher*. Ultra-Expressive Keyboard The keyboard features 37 full-sized, velocity-sensitive keys with aftertouch that deliver an expressive and superior playing experience. You’ll love the feel and playability of DEEPMIND 6’s semi-weighted keys as they respond to even the slightest nuance of your playing. Aftertouch allows you to imbue your sound with variations of pitch, volume, modulation or color – whatever parameters you choose. Whether you have a heavy or soft playing style, DEEPMIND 6 always responds to your touch with 3 different selectable velocity and aftertouch curves. Pure Analog Signal Path A modern reincarnation of a beloved analog classic (with true bypass studio-grade FX), all of DEEPMIND 6's sounds are purely analog – all the way from OSC 1, which generates sawtooth and square/pulse waveforms with user-definable pulse width modulation (PWM), and OSC 2, which generates square/pulse waveforms with tone modulation. The combination of square/pulse waves on OSC 1 and tone modulation on OSC 2 gives the DEEPMIND 6 a boldly unique and fresh character not found in competing products. Low Pass Filter & Envelope Faders Everything about the DEEPMIND 6 has been designed to give you total control over the creative process. That goes for the selectable, dual slope 12/24 dB analog low pass filter with adjustable resonance and tracking (per voice), and the 4 Envelope faders that smoothly transform individual segments of the envelope between linear, exponential and reverse exponential curves. Big, Fat Tones DEEPMIND 6 provides your choice of powerful unison or poly modes, with detune, pan spread and drift parameters, that can handle up to 6 voices per note for incredibly fat tones. And if you want even more, just engage the global noise generator to expand the waveform options. DEEPMIND 6's extreme versatility empowers you to be your creative best. Polyphonic Portamento While most synthesizers only allow simple mono portamento glides, the DEEPMIND 6 lets you create stunningly smooth mono and polyphonic chord glissandos that will really get your juices flowing. DEEPMIND 6's arpeggiator can operate across up to 6 octaves, and you can choose from 32 preset rhythmic patterns with up to 32 steps and rests – or create and save your own. Modes of operation include: UP; DOWN; UP-DOWN; UP-INV; DOWN-INV; UP-DN-INV; UP-ALT; DOWNALT; RAND; AS-PLAYED, and CHORD. A wide range of clock options are also available, as well as hold switch latching. Chord Memory Want to build impossibly-huge chords that can be played with a single finger. DEEPMIND 6 allows you to write extremely complex chords and polychords (up to 6 notes each), save them into memory locations – and perform them with the press of a single key. There is enough storage space onboard for 36 six-note chords, all of which can be mapped to specific trigger keys. True Bypass Mode The FX menu of the DEEPMIND 6 is accessed by pressing the FX button, which in turn brings up the FX page on the LCD display. This is where you assign, route and adjust all FX parameters, including Mode, Mix and Level. You can select the Bypass Mode to completely remove the digital FX from the signal path for a pure, high-integrity analog tone. High Pass Filter The 6 dB High Pass Filter (HPF) in the DEEPMIND 6 lets you set the lower cutoff frequency of the output signal. The accompanying Boost switch applies a +12 dB bass boost to the signal path to fatten up the bottom end. You Are Always in Control We can't help ourselves – like you, we're gear-heads, too. For those who want the numbers, DEEPMIND 6 has: 26 sliders; 33 switches; 1 rotary encoder; 2 knobs; 1 spring-loaded pitch wheel and 1 assignable, spring-loaded modulation wheel.
