Sva četiri eseja o preobilju (a reč je o preobilju apofatičnog Ništa, Božije blagodati koja nam daruje sve, a ponajpre biće samo) sačinjena su iz dva dela: filosofsku raspravu prati teološki postskriptum ili coda, koja je pisana iz ugla hrišćanske vere, a ujedno je i poziv u tu veru. Gorazd Kocijančič se u najnovijoj knjizi, koja s Razbićem i Erotikom, politikom itd. čini filosofski sistem, usredsređuje na četiri teme: životinje, snove, jezik i ništa. Autorova izvođenja zasnivaju se na spoznanju da ja kao ipostas nisam sam svoj gospodar, da mi je vlastito biće darovano. A kao biće, koje niče iz apofatičnog Ništa, ne mogu dokraja prodreti u nedokučivost misaonih struktura koje su u osnovi svega bivajućeg. Iz te smerne ontološko-gnoseološke pozicije Kocijančič se poduhvata razmatranja savremene naučne dokse, uverenja da se stvari, kakve odista jesu, mogu pojmiti i izreći putem koji gradi nauka. Ali „štos nije u onome što govorim, nego u (samo)pozicioniranju govornika”. Moderna doksična pozicija nereflektovano upisuje ontologiju sveta u našu svakodnevnu svest. Otuda se prema životinjama i prirodi ophodimo kao da su nam sasvim na raspolaganju, snove smatramo nižim oblikom svesnosti, prouzrokovanim našim mozgom, odnosno mehanizmima nesvesnog. Povodom jezika krećemo na osi lažne dileme inatizam vs. konvencionalizam, dok Ništa, koje je temelj svega bivajućeg, neprestano negiramo. Smrt pretvaramo u događaj unutar samog sveta. Nasuprot takvom redukcionizmu novog doba Kocijančič postavlja (post)fenomenološku ipostatičku misao, koja se u odanosti totalitetu iskustva otvara za paradoks, za radikalnu Transcendenciju. Autor se pritom nadovezuje na misao Grka i svetih otaca, koji su znali da „putem askeze i molitve očišćeni noûs može ugledati logose sveta, pa čak i participirati u ‘dejstvima’ (enérgeiai) samog Boga”. – Iz pogovora U. Od jevrejskih tekstova preveo je i komentarisao starozavetnu defterokanonsku knjigu Varuhovu i defterokanonske dodatke uz knjigu Danilovu, napisao je tekstualna objašnjenja za Knjige Makavejske u novom slovenackom standardnom prevodu Svetoga Pisma (Ljubljana 1996.), preveo je izabranu poeziju najslavnijeg srednjevekovnog jevrejskog pesnika Jehude Halevija (Ljubljana 1997) i spis Vrijeme i drugi modernog francuskogfilosofa Emanuela Levinasa (Ljubljana 1996).Plod njegovog bavljenja grčkom filosofijom je prevod i komentar Parmenidove poeme (Parmenid: Fragmenti, Maribor 1995) i Proklovih Osnova Bogoslovlja (Ljubljana 1999), a preveo je na slovenacki celokupna Platonova dela sa komentarima, zbog čega je 2005. godine po anketi Delaproglasen za licnost Slovenije.
