Blast From The Past The WA-47 is an all vacuum tube, large diaphragm, transformer balanced, multi-pattern (9), large condenser microphone, based on the classic ‘47 that has been used on countless hit records for the last 50+ years. The WA-47 is designed for pro studio, home studio, live, and broadcast applications and sounds great on vocals, acoustic/electric guitars, acoustic/electric bass, drums, piano, strings, brass/woodwind instruments, and an array of other sources. The classic ‘47 became extremely popular in the 1960’s and is now considered one of the greatest microphones ever made. The classic ‘47 is still widely used today in professional recording studios but have become extremely rare and expensive to acquire. Designing For A Classic Designing the WA-47 to sound like the classic ‘47 was no easy task, especially considering that some of the vintage components are no longer available. We compared and listened to 2 different vintage ‘47 mics and found that they both sounded amazing but also sounded a little different from each other. These comparison tests became the benchmark for tailoring our WA-47 sonics to sit right in with these 2 vintage ‘47 mics. We are pleased to release such a gorgeous sounding classic to the market at a price that’s reachable to more people than ever before. We are also proud to mention that the WA-47 sounds legitimately indistinguishable to the vintage ‘47’s we auditioned on several sources. As with all Warm Audio products, we focus heavily on quality components to ensure we release the best sounding product possible. The WA-47 is packed with top end components that are carefully sourced from many of the top pro audio component suppliers in the world. True '47 Style Capsule The WA-47 utilizes a custom reproduction of the vintage k47 style capsule that was used in the classic ‘47 microphone - designed with the same hole pattern and frequency response. Every Warm Audio capsule is made in the same small assembly house in a clean-room environment, and packaged in its own protective jewel case until the moment it is loaded into the microphone. Each capsule is visually inspected and electrically tested for imperfections. A large part of any microphone's tone comes from its capsule, and the true k47 style capsule used in the WA-47 is not easily manufactured or typically found in affordable condenser microphones. We are proud to be using such a faithful recreation of this classic part in an affordably priced '47 style microphone. A Look Inside The Capsule The WA-47 utilizes a custom reproduction of the vintage k47 style capsule that was used in the classic ‘47 microphone - designed with the same hole pattern and frequency response. Our version of this capsule (model# WA-47-B-80v) is carefully manufactured by an Australian capsule manufacturer who's precision and repeatability allows us to nail the vintage sonics of the most important sonic piece of this classic style of microphone. The Tube A Slovak Republic JJ 5751 vacuum tube is a lower gain, low noise tube that forces much of the sonics of the capsule and transformer to be heard more significantly than some higher gain tubes might allow. We auditioned 4 different tube brands and fell in love with the JJ 5751. The frequency response of the JJ 5751 and the way it contributes to the circuit is tonally smooth and vintage in nature. The Transformer The WA-47 utilizes an American made TAB-Funkenwerk (AMI) USA transformer with large core imported German laminations. This transformer helps provide the creamy smooth top end, and the LARGER THAN LIFE bottom end one would expect from a '47 style condenser microphone. The Capacitors The WA-47 uses a polystyrene coupling capacitor for uncompressed top-end response from the capsule, wima film capacitors throughout, and an imported Solen French capacitor on its output driving the TAB-Funkenwerk (AMI) USA output transformer. The Cable One component of a tube microphone often overlooked is the 7 pin cable that connects the microphone to its power supply. When auditioning the WA-47 and other tube microphones we learned quite a bit about 7 pin cables and how the shielding and wire gauge size can drastically change the sonics of a tube microphone. We have partnered with Gotham Audio in Switzerland to use their very carefully built top-end 7 pin GAC-7 cable. Using this cable increases top end presence and the overall size of the recorded image in the stereo field, by reducing phase shift and the parasitic effect often found in poorly built cables. Gotham Audio is very expensive and boutique in nature and should not be considered a small addition to the WA-47 package. The Condenser Mic Value You've Been Waiting For The Golden Age Project FC 3 is a full-featured large-diaphragm condenser microphone inspired by vintage classics. Offering broad frequency response, wide dynamic range, and a choice of three polar patterns, the FC 3 is a versatile performer in the studio, onstage, and in broadcast applications. Golden Age bred the FC 3 to have impeccable manners, with discrete Class A electronics, a sweet-sounding top end, and the ability to handle loud sources without losing its composure. The retro sonic character of the FC 3 works well in any application where you would use a large capsule-condenser mic, including vocals and choirs, acoustic and electric guitars and other fretted instruments, and drum overheads or room mics. Full-featured for critical recording applications The FC 3's three polar patterns — cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-8 — give you immense flexibility when it comes to exploring the sonic possibilities offered by different recording techniques. And owning a pair of them vastly increases the versatility of this microphone, opening up highly effective stereo recording techniques such as Spaced Pair (A-B), XY (including Blumlein), ORTF array, and mid-side (MS). The FC 3 features high 140dB SPL handling and is equipped with a 10dB pad — which means you can use it on the loudest sources without fear of overload, while a highpass filter lets you roll off structure-borne rumble that could derail a perfect performance. Every studio needs at least one quality large-diaphragm condenser. The Golden Age FC 3 is an uncanny value. The Golden Age Project The Golden Age Project was founded in 2005 on the belief that vintage gear sounds best and on the desire to pass on this sonic legacy to a new generation of musicians, engineers, and producers. All-discrete, Class A signal paths with no integrated circuits; the use of transformers, stepped controls, and military-grade build quality: these are the cornerstones of the legendary British equipment deployed in world-class recording and broadcast studios in the 1970s — the Golden Age of analog. Fat, warm, punchy, and authoritative — this is the sound heard on countless hits for nigh unto half a century. Locating, purchasing, restoring, and maintaining vintage gear is time-consuming and costly. Fortunately, this small, family-owned Swedish company makes gear the same way it was made back in the day — at an amazingly gentle price. A distributor of high-end studio equipment for many years, Golden Age Project founder, Bo Medin, wanted to be able to offer products with much of the same exclusive sound in a price range that made them available to a larger audience. Inspired by original designs, Golden Age uses modern technology to re-create that lush, opulent sound, making it surprisingly affordable. They use some modern ingenuity to add new functionality to superb classic designs and produce them in a cost-effective way, which allows them to be both optimized and affordable. From outboard equipment to condenser, dynamic, and ribbon mics, you can outfit your entire studio with vintage-inspired Golden Age gear without exceeding your budget. Golden Age FC 3 Large-diaphragm Condenser Microphone Features: True condenser mic with 28mm, 3um gold-sputtered, low-distortion dual capsule Shockmounted capsule internally for reduced handling noise and structure-borne rumble 1.10" pressure-gradient capsule Discrete Class A electronics Low-noise FET first-stage amplification Cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-8 polar patterns for sound-capturing options Room pickup, proximity effect, and tonal response change depending on the selected polar pattern External switches for highpass filter and pad Attractive, heavy-duty brass body Frequency response: 20Hz–20kHz Equivalent noise level: 17dB, A-weighted Maximum SPL: 140dB; THD: 1% Impedance: 250 ohms; load impedance: 1,000 ohms Sensitivity: -37dB at 1kHz Operating voltage: 48 volts (requires phantom power) Output connector: 3-pin gold-plated XLR Spider-type shockmount included

Faderstarts and Cleanfeeds are standard We designed the Airmate-USB to fulfill the requirements for a high grade low cost radio production mixer. Built around well proven low noise circuitry, this console is the reliable workhorse for the self-op production D.J. that needs an internal Telephone Hybrid (2x) and USB connection to the PC (e.q. for streaming to the web). A heavy duty 19" rack mounted RF shielded chassis houses 8 vertical triple input modules giving flexibility rarely found in a mixer of this type. Six input channels with high quality balanced microphone inputs on XLR and two stereo line level inputs on Cinch (RCA) connectors. Every Mic input has an insert for signal processors. And… every line level line B input can be converted into a phono (record player) channel by simply fitting an optional stereo R.I.A.A. equalized phono pre-amp. Built in Telephone Hybrids This new Airmate-USB model has 6 balanced mic inputs (+48 phantom is standard) with insert, 12 stereo line inputs, 2x USB and 2x Telephone Hybrids. Channel 5 and 6 have Mic/Line and USB interface to transfer audio from and to your PC. Channel 7 and 8 have, apart from the stereo line input, also RJ-11 connectors to interface with a POT (Plain Old Telephone) line and a Telephone appliance to dial the number you want to reach. High quality built in Hybrids with R (trimmer on the surface) and C balance (switch on the surface) and direct Connection and Talkback buttons in the Hybrid channels makes a conversation with listeners very easy. With the Telco Send (level to the caller) and Telco Gain (level coming from the caller) all levels can be easy adjusted. But be always aware of the fact that the RC balance has to be adjusted once to create a clean telephone signal send and receive. The manual will give info about this pretty simple procedure. The front panel ON switch is wired in series with the built in mechanical fader start enabling selection of start either by fader or hard start via the ON switch. Fader start generates in the Mic mode a Mic-on signaling to switch on ON-Air lights. There is a 3 band Equalizer on channel 1-6. The stereo Aux send can be set pre or post fader. All mic inputs have low cut jumpers. A clean feed send is available for external analog and digital Hybrids. Built in VoIP or Telco channels We now have dedicated VoIP channels available for the AIRMATE-USB, or a combination of one TELCO module and one VoIP module. If you still want to use a classic analogue or digital Hybrid we have designed a cleanfeed output on pin 1-4 of the RJ11 connector. You can return the Hybrid signal on the line input of the VoIp module. Please tell your dealer the combination you want. Now is the time to install your own production room The Airmate-USB has the usual master controls such as stereo master faders, stereo Aux send and return, monitor master with "follow phones" and a phones output with a split control function. There is a balance control to continuously adjust the volume between main output and stereo Cue signal. In addition, there is a special Radio On-air/production section featuring; Selfop switching to automatically cut control room level when the D.J. mic is active; a Clean feed output to also drive an external Telephone Hybrid for talk shows and interviews, if you need more Hybrid channels than the 2 built in ones; a special announcer output that normally follows main output but can be switched so that the main output, or any cue signal that is selected, can be heard when in the "follow phones" mode. A large Talkback switch activates the built-in electret talkback microphone for easy communication with the Clean-feed output, Aux output and/or Announcer output. The focal point in a production studio The Airmate-USB is designed to be the focal point for local radio production work in the studio or at home. It’s comprehensive, yet understandable features make it the ideal companion for rapid on-the-spot radio programs. Small, reliable and 19" rack mounting ideal for production rooms. It can also double as an On-Air mixer or implemented in your own Internet Radio station. If your budget is tight, it never becomes obsolete as it can revert to production use, if, at a later date you fit in a larger On-Air mixer.

Six input channels with high quality balanced microphone inputs on XLR and two stereo line level inputs on Cinch (RCA) connectors. Every Mic input has an insert for signal processors. And... every line level line B input can be converted into a phono (grammophone) channel by simply fitting an optional stereo R.I.A.A. equalized phono pre-amp. EXTENSIVE MASTER SECTION FOCUSED ON RADIO. This new Airmate-USB model has 6 balanced mic inputs (+48 phantom is standard) with insert, 12 stereo line inputs, 2x USB and 2x Telephone Hybrids. Faderstart generates in the Mic mode a Mic-on signalling to switch on ON-Air lights. There is a 3 band Equalizer on channel 1-6. The stereo Aux send can be set pre or post fader. All mic inputs have low cut jumpers. A clean feed send is available for external Hybrids. NOW IS THE TIME TO INSTALL YOUR OWN PRODUCTION ROOM. The Airmate-USB has the usual master controls such as stereo master faders, stereo Aux send and return, monitor master with "follow phones" and a phones output with a split control function. The Airmate-USB is designed to be the focal point for local radio production work in the studio or at home. It’s comprehensive, yet understandable features make it the ideal companion for rapid on-the-spot radio programmes. Handcrafted in Vienna, the City of Music, the Austrian Audio OC818 is a revolutionary multi-pattern dual-output large-diaphragm condenser microphone with optional wireless control. Onboard, the OC818 offers a choice of four selectable polar patterns, 10dB and 20dB pads, and three switchable highpass filters. But with Austrian Audio's open-source PolarDesigner plug-in (Mac and Windows), you can craft custom polar patterns for up to five different frequency bands. What's more, the PolarPilot mobile app (iOS, Android) gives you real-time wireless remote control over polar patterns, highpass filter, and pad settings via the optional OCR8 Bluetooth dongle. Note that the OC818 is always operating and mode switching purely in the analog domain; it's only the analog bias voltages that are being governed remotely. There is no digital signal in either the audio or bias paths. Giving you the best of both worlds, the Austrian Audio OC818 is a sophisticated tool that will help you make better-sounding recordings. Explore the sonic possibilities The OC818 offers four selectable onboard polar patterns: figure-8, supercardioid, cardioid, and omnidirectional, giving you immense flexibility when it comes to exploring the sonic possibilities offered by different recording techniques. The fifth setting is Preset mode, which works in tandem with the optional Bluetooth dongle that plugs into a port on the rear of the mic body and lets you program custom patterns. Austrian Audio microphones are rigorously tested on state-of-the-art measurement systems and precision matched to within a stringent 1dB tolerance — which means that with two of these excellent microphones, you can confidently implement stereo techniques such as Spaced Pair (A/B), X-Y (including Blumlein), ORTF array, Mid-Side (MS), and Spaced Omni (with or without a center mic). It's worth noting that a single OC818, with its two separate XLR outputs, is a stereo microphone in and of itself. But with two OC818s, your options expand exponentially. Dual mode and PolarDesigner The second output on the back of the OC818 delivers the signal from the rear capsule membrane, while the front membrane is output via the normal XLR plug. Simply plug in the OCC8 mini XLR cable supplied with your OC818 and set the polar pattern switch to the cardioid setting (the center position with the dual-cardioid icon). The OC818 will now work in Dual mode, with both capsule diaphragms being routed independently. In dual mode, you can record the two signals to separate tracks and use the PolarDesigner plug-in to subsequently modify the polar pattern in post production. PolarDesigner even lets you independently choose the polar pattern for up to five different frequency bands. Imagine how a pair of room mics with, for instance, a tight supercardioid pickup in the low frequencies, figure-8 for the mids, and omnidirectional for the highs would sound on a drum kit in a great-sounding room! Real-time remote control With Austrian Audio's OCR8 Bluetooth module (available separately) and the PolarPilot app for iOS and Android, you can remotely control your OC818 from your smartphone or tablet. Powered by the 48-volt phantom that powers the mic, the OCR8 is activated via the Preset mode switch setting (the "•" position all the way to the right). Once paired with your device, the PolarPilot app gives you full wireless control over the OC818's polar patterns, highpass filters, and pads. The app also features an overload monitor that displays a red bar if the signal is too loud. In that case, engage the 10dB pad to reduce bias voltage to the capsule and protect the mic’s internal circuitry from clipping. Outstanding results on any source The heart of any classic mic is a superior handmade capsule, and this wisdom is borne out in the Austrian Audio's proprietary CKR12 capsule. In keeping with its multi-pattern design specification, the OC818 uses the dual-diaphragm version of the CKR12 capsule, which, in concert with the microphone's custom electronic circuitry, delivers excellent results when used for vocals, acoustic guitar, piano, drum overheads, strings, brass, percussion, and room capture. What's more, the OC818's robust native 148dB maximum SPL capability — further increased by the inclusion of selectable 10dB and 20dB pads — also makes it ideal for louder sources such as tom toms and electric guitar cabinets. The new Vienna classics Carrying on the rich legacy of high-end Viennese microphone design into the modern era, Austrian Audio is driven by an engineering team with over 300 years of combined experience. Their motto: "Making Passion Heard." Their mission: to design and manufacture a new generation of recording tools that embrace cutting-edge technologies and sonic excellence while honoring Vienna's rich musical heritage. That vision is realized in the Austrian Audio's proprietary handcrafted CKR12 large-diaphragm capsule, which is used in the company's excellent OC18 and OC818 condenser microphones. Features: Multi-pattern dual-output large-diaphragm condenser microphone with optional wireless control Handmade, dual-diaphragm CKR12 ceramic capsule Selectable polar patterns: figure-8, supercardioid, cardioid, omni, custom Microprocessor control of polarization voltages Choice of 3 analog highpass filters: 40Hz, 80Hz, 160Hz 10dB and 20dB analog pads Dual outputs for recording each diaphragm separately Wireless control via optional OCR8 Bluetooth module (available separately) Incorporates Austrian Audio's Open Acoustics Technology Frequency response: 20Hz–20kHz Sensitivity (all directions): 13mV/Pa Equivalent noise level: 9dB SPL (A) Maximum SPL: 148dB (158dB SPL with pad) Impedance: 275Ohm; load impedance: >1kOhm Supply voltage: 48-volt phantom (<4mA, typical 2.1mA) Handcrafted in Vienna Includes protective carry case, OCS8 spider mount suspension, OCW8 foam windshield, OCH8 mic clip, OCC8 mini XLR cable, and cable clip
