The WEBSTATION accepts and instantly controls a maximum of 3 in/out stereo channels from your Play-out software. It is built into a heavy duty metal RF shielded chassis. Easily “drops” into your furniture to give that exciting radio look. Build with a strong powder coated front panel for durability and it is the result of more than 47 years of experience at D&R. MIC, LINE, USB and Internal VoIP. The WEBSTATION mixer has 2 balanced, phantom powered mic inputs with inserts for voice processors. Six stereo line inputs, 3x USB channels and 1x Telephone VOIP channel. If you want to connect an analog phone line a Cleanfeed output can be connected to an external Hybrid. Only one physical USB connection is the interface to transfer 3 stereo audio channels + VoIP signal from and to your PC and also includes all data from the control section and the software meter application. The VoIP Channel 6 is at the same time also routed to the main USB connector. Talk back to the VOIP channel is by pushing both "Mic CUE" and "VoIP CUE" to make conversation with callers very easy prior to broadcasting. The Webstation has a very musical 2 band equalizer. High quality low noise mic inputs with built in low cut filters and software switchable phantom powering in board. Straight Forward Master Section The WEBSTATION’s modules can be easily tailored to your own needs with the included software program page shown below. All 6 modules have their own page, where you can program Cue reset enabled by Line, Mic, Fader, On etc. The Mic On busses (for your ON-AIR light) can be enabled by Line or Mic or USB. A great feature is the ability to program your own switch colours, activate the CRM mute module and program the Studio Remote. Additionally if you want your Phantom power on or off individually programmable per channel this can also easily done. All personal settings can be stored(write) and loaded (read). See how in the the configuration manager shown below. Mic Line Channel The Webstation has an internal USB voice tracking bus that can be directly routed to a play-out system with Voice tracking capabilities, such as our AIRCAST software. A very low noise mic input, followed by a 2 band equalizer, drives a smooth running fader controlling a stereo VCA. The faderstart is electronically detected by the control voltage generated by the fader. The Webstation can also be used for production while ON-AIR when it is put into the NON-STOP mode. The NON-STOP switch (located in the master section) routes the first USB channel (3) directly to the main outputs. It does this automatically when the internal silence detector detects silence. The CUE switch is also a communication system to easily talk to callers from outside. The ON switch and the fader have “faderstart” capabilities if required. Your personal settings for modules and master can stored in software. The Webstation is designed for ON-AIR Internet radio production work in the studio or at home. USB Channel Every Webstation USB Channel can accept a stereo source from a play-out system such as our AIRCAST. Levels can be set by the gain control. Pre listening can be done by the CUE switch and the ON switch can activate tracks of the Play-out system. This can also be done by “faderstart”. The fader controls a high quality stereo VCA. If you run a classic station with CD players, the USB input can be also set to accept stereo line signals. The CUE is also a communication bus that allows callers on the VoIP channel to listen to the music and DJ when its CUE is activated without being on-air. USB Routing There are three USB stereo in- and outputs available on the Webstation. The inputs are internally routed to channel 3 to 5 where the USB input of channel three is also routed to the Non-Stop switch when activated. So your station never sleeps even if you are sleeping. The USB outputs, seen as inputs on your PC, are connected to the Program output and Voice track bus. VoIP Channel Channel 6 of the Webstation mixer is a dedicated Voice Over Internet Protocol channel. (VoIP). Simply set up a connection, for instance with SKYPE or any other provider that offers telephone services over the Internet. It needs to be a service provider that allows you to use VoIP for your telephone connections. A separate Gain control and VoIP send control let you adjust the send and return levels. An incoming call can be picked up by the Conn button, pre-listened by the CUE switch and brought into your radioshow by the ON switch and/or Fader. If you want to use an analog or digital telephone hybrid, we have added an extra cleanfeed output on the back of the console to feed an external hybrid and return the signal into the line input of your VoIP channel with the input selector selected to Line. The DJ Mic can be routed to the caller outside the broadcast by activating the CUE switch in both Mic and VoIP input modules. All in all a very convenient way to broadcast ON-AIR with your callers. USB Control Section In the control SECTION of the Webstation mixer you see 12 illuminated (green/red) switches. These switches can be used to control functions in your Radio Automation Software such as starting jingles. Recording a voice track while ON-AIR is also possible. The USB control software, included as part of the package, can be easily programmed to make radio even more exciting. Any switch can perform a function of your play-out software that you decide to control. Master controls can be found in the master section for Phones and CRM. When activating the Auto Cue for CRM any selected CUE can be heard. As soon as the DJ mic opens, the CRM mutes to avoid feedback but only if CRM auto Cue (auto deactivate) is set to ON. The NON-STOP switch instantly routes the first USB stereo signal (channel 3) to the master outputs which makes the mixer available for (pre) production again. Power Supply and more The Webstation is powered by an internal heavy duty switched mode power supply that accepts AC voltages between 90 volt and 264 volts and has a standard Euroconnector with fuse on the back of the frame. The control surface can be easily mounted inside furniture as a drop through unit. All in and output connections are conveniently made on standard Jack / Cinch and XLR connectors. Software The Webstation sends out control signals over USB, based on the HID protocol. This also means that the master output signals can be displayed on a TFT screen (not supplied) in a beautiful meter application. Program and CRM stereo signals are shown on a high resolution Peak Program Meter On the right side of this screen you see the status of various console functions. Indicators such as NON-STOP mode, Silence detection, Mic-On and CRM mute. Channel status and input selection is displayed at the bottom of the TFT screen (not supplied). At the same time this software application shows you a professional looking Radio clock that is synchronized with your local PC and an NTP time server.

With the AIRENCE-USB ON-AIR mixer you can own a modern, split version type of radio production mixer. A smart mixer with an integrated USB based control section. Built with well proven low noise circuitry, this console is the reliable workhorse for the self-op production D.J. Built in Telephone Hybrids (2x), 4 channels USB and 4 Mic inputs. Ideal for streaming to the web and sending and accepting 4 stereo channels from your Play-out software. A heavy duty (19" rack) RF shielded chassis, that can be used as a drop through in your furniture, houses all the vertically mounted input modules. Extension units with six triple input channels with high end quality Mic inputs on XLR and two stereo line level inputs on Cinch (RCA) connectors can be connected to the main unit. The result is a modern split drop through 12 (or 18/24) fader radio console. MIC, LINE, USB, VoIP AND TELEPHONE IN-OUTPUTS This brand new AIRENCE-USB model has 4 balanced mic inputs (+48 phantom is standard) with inserts for signal processors, 6 stereo line inputs, 4x USB channels and 2x Telephone Hybrids (or VoIP channels). VoIP But... you can also order the AIRENCE-USB main unit with built in VoIP channels om position 5 and/or 6 or even a combination of 1x Telco and 1x VoIP. TELCO/VoIP Channel 5 and 6 have, apart from the stereo line input, also RJ-11 connectors to interface with an analogue telephone line and a common dial unit. And in case a VoIP module is installed one of the RJ-11 is replaced by 1x USB connector, the other RJ-11 has a clean-feed signal on pin 1 and 4. Both analogue high quality built in Hybrids with R and C balance have direct Talk back to the Hybrid channels to make conversation with callers very easy. This is also possible when VoIP modules are built in. Also by simply pushing the Cue button, conversation between DJ and caller outside the broadcast is of course possible. One physical USB connection interfaces 4 stereo audio channels from and to your PC plus all (programmable) remote controls on the right hand section of the mixer. The illuminated front panel ON switch is electronically attached to the built in mechanical fader start enabling selection of a play-out start either by fader or via the ON switch. Fader start generates in the Mic mode a Mic-on signaling to switch ON-Air lights. There is a 3 band Equalizer on channel 1-4 and on all 6 Triple input channels of the Extender Unit. The stereo Aux send can be set pre or post fader. All high quality low noise mic inputs have low cut jumpers. EXTENSIVE MASTER SECTION DESIGNED WITH RADIO IN MIND The AIRENCE-USB has all the master controls such as 100 mm stereo master faders, stereo Aux send. There is a balance control to continuously adjust the volume between main output and stereo Cue signal. In addition, there is a special Radio On-air/production section featuring; Self-op switching (Mute Active) to automatically cut control room level when the D.J. mic is active. A special Studio output that normally follows main output but can be switched so that the main output, or any cue signal that is selected, can be heard when in the "follow phones" mode. Also here is a Speaker Mute-Activation possible when presenters use loudspeakers in the studio room. You might have noticed that the channels have Sub and Program routing. It means that production (voice tracking) can be done on the sub output while ON-AIR. The AIRENCE can also be used for production while ON-AIR when it is put into the NON-STOP mode. A single switch routes one of the 4 USB channels directly to the main outputs. A large Talkback switch activates the built-in electret talkback microphone for communication to various outputs or you can use the CUE bus as a mix minus bus to link channel signals to each other for communication outside the broadcast. OVERALL The AIRENCE-USB is designed to be the focal point for local radio production work in the studio or... at home. It’s understandable features makes it the ideal companion for rapid on-the-spot radio programs. The AIRENCE is compact, reliable and 19" rack mounting ideal for production rooms. It can also double as an On-Air mixer or implemented as your own Internet Radio station. If your budget is tight start with the 6 channel version which is a complete system to begin with. And it never becomes obsolete as it can be used as pre-production mixer, if, at a later date, you fit in a larger On-Air mixer. And.. if more inputs are needed hook up the AIRENCE-EXT and instantly you have 6 more triple inputs with each giving you a low noise Mic and 2x stereo line inputs under control. The Cue buss is of course linked and can be used as communication buss. Not enough? Buy another 6 channel unit to expand to 18 or even more input channels. Every unit is individually powered by a modern digitally switched power supply to create high efficiency in power consumption. Also power supply redundancy is an option because the power supply unit is external. CONTROL SECTION On the right side of the mixer you see 24 illuminated (green/red or yellow) switches These switches can be used to control functions in your Radio Automation such as starting jingle machines and switching between live and NON stop. Recording a voice track while ON-AIR is one of the possibilities. A built in USB controller, specially tailored by D&R and programmable by yourself, to make radio even more exciting. SOFTWARE The AIRENCE sends out control signals over USB based on the HID protocol. This means that the main output signals can be displayed on a TFT screen in a beautiful meter application. Both Program and Sub stereo signals are shown on a high resolution PPM. A smaller separate stereo meter shows all signals heard through the CRM speakers. At the same time this software application shows you a professional looking Radio clock that is synchronized by the nearest NTP server over he Internet. METER APPLICATION This included software program runs together with the 4 stereo audio signals over the same USB connection that connects the console with the Play-out PC. A second screen maybe connected to get a similar look as seen on the top of this page.
